Great Bundle!

This is a great bundle, works very well. I've been using these for almost a year now and have really enjoyed the experience so far. The touch screen feature makes it really easy to navigate on the Garmin. It connects easily to all the sensors. The crash detection feature works well, as well as the tracking feature for those long rides to let your emergency contacts know where you're at in real time.

Great device - could have a more user-friendly setup experience to customize different screens. After watching a YouTube video or two I was a pro at it!

Fantastic blend of performance and value, especially when paired with lights!

Before purchasing the Edge 830 I was using my phone as my GPS, so this was a complete game-changer for me. The GPS and route planning is great, and you can link your Strava account to pull in routes and share data back and forth. The real value add for me was pairing this bike computer with the Varia RTL515 rear light / bike radar. Being able to see when cars are coming up behind you, especially on roads with a narrow shoulder, makes me feel so much safer on the road. Overall the experience with the Edge 830 is great, despite some occasional glitches with the GPS when going through tunnels. Couldn't be happier with my purchase!

Continued awesome

I just moved from an ancient 520 to this since the battery on the old unit was starting to lose charge time and it is an upgrade in every way. The touch format is reasonably intuitive and I get all the data I want out of it. It controls the radar tail light well once you figure out to access it via the sensors menu. My only complaint thus far is when it wants a software update-do it. I tried to put it off and the thing had to be restarted. Other than that smooth sailing.

Glad I got the touch screen version.

It has more features that I will ever use. I like to ride off in a random path and go where it looks new and interesting. The garmin was great for getting me back home without having to stop and pull out my phone at every intersection. My only regret is that I didn't spend more and get the one with the bigger screen.

Upgraded from a 520 for better battery life and more features. Very glad I did. Trailforks integration is a huge plus.

Garmin Edge 830 Bundle

I have been using this Garmin Edge 830 for more than a year now for all of my mountain and road biking. I like to wait to give reviews until I've used an item for a while and discover any "bugs" that I might not encounter when I first start using it. In this case the Garmin Edge 830 has proved to be exactly the right item for me. It's light, easy to use, and because I have it mounted on my bars, easy to view while I'm riding. I have it set so I can view the parameters that matter to me most and they stimulate that little extra effort that I need to ensure I finish my rides in the zone that I'm after.

Great upgrade from 520

I upgraded from my 520. My 520 was not able to hold more than one regions map in memory and every time I traveled outside of my state I had to plug it into my computer and remove the map and replace with another. The 830 had sufficient memory for me to put in 3 state trailforks maps into the memory! I haven't tried more yet. I like that it uses my phones connection to upload to Strava instead of waiting until I'm home to upload via wifi. I also really like that you can set different profiles and turn off basemaps for various profiles depending on what type of riding you do. I use trailforks for my mountain biking and kept the stock map for road. I'm sure I'm only using 30% of what it is capable of doing! The size is also perfect and about the same size as the 520/530. I don't like the bigger ones. The battery life is pretty good and can go for a few days of all day riding without a charge.
