Great Bike Computer

This is my first ever bike computer that I purchased 2-1/2 months ago. It has helped me tremendously in my training & casual rides. The touch screen makes very easy to scroll to different screens. I can also program my Di2 buttons to change screens to. The battery life is excellent. Recently did a century ride and still had over 40% battery life left. Very easy to program and pair other devices like my Garmin Heart Monitor and Garmin vector 3 Pedals. This computer has tons of features and is well worth the investment.

Nice features had Some Issues

I have owned almost every model of Edge and purchased the Edge 830 to replace my Edge 820 which was nice but maybe lacked processing speed when using the touch screen. I do like the improved speed and look of the screen I have had a few issues where the 830 just wouldn't turn on after charging for some reason But all of the sudden it started working so hopefully this is a one time glitch also have some issues with my I phone 11 pro having to pair over and over. but other than that I have been pretty happy with.

I owned the 810 prior to this. I tried to set up the pages the same for the main page & lap page but they aren’t as easily accessible. The start & lap buttons are recessed at the bottom of the 830 & difficult to see/feel. The 830 buttons were just below the main screen & well labeled. When doing intervals where laps are (e.g) 30-secs, trying to press the lap button is a real challenge on the 830. However the 830 does provide much more data (like VO2 max) then the 810 & has much longer battery life. Still adjusting to the differences...

Training feature is awesome! Touch screen response is fast. And the early warning on sharp turns on the road was a surprise from previous models.
Best generation of Garmin Edge computers!!
I have owned the 800/810 and this is by far the best. Worth every penny.

Smart like a computer

Aside from a couple of initial freeze ups, it's been a dependable unit with well over the 6 hours of battery I needed. On several rides, my 830 has been a source of truth when others lost the way. I do wish the nearby friends feature worked with strava account followers.

Best Multi Bike Garmin Ever

Being able to use my Garmin 830 for Mountain, Gravel and Road is just outstanding. All my sensors sync effortlessly. The Trailforks maps for mountain biking is an excellent addition. Have my profiles set of for each of my 5 bikes. This is the only bike computer that I now use. Way to go Garmin you have answered all my needs.
