Love the touch screen feature! A+

I purchased this Garmin 830 about a month ago as an upgrade from my Garmin 520. My wife now uses it and loves it. I REALLY like the 830 touch screen, battery life and slightly larger screen size. What an awesome unit! I look forward to using this next year for our Race Across America 2023 relay race from Oceanside CA to Annapolis MD.

Great features, Great product

I purchased my 830 Edge around 3 weeks ago, a little intimidating when I first got it, but after using it more I’m getting used to it and use it to document all my rides, whether it’s road or mtb.

Not working properly

This garmin 830 that I Just got only shows watt power when its above 250-300w, then it goes back to 0w.

I returned it and went with Wahoo roam. Garmin not scalable.

great little unit

I like that there is a MTB mount and I can transfer it between my mtb and roadie. touch screen is a must. In mtb mode it switches to a map when I stop riding which is pretty sweet.

It's hard to set up

Integration with Garmin watch is not as expected

Just bought the Edge 830 and did my first bike ride. How disappointed was I to see that the Edge does not use the heart rate registered by my Venu 2S. It seems that to have all info from both devices I will have to track the rides in both at the same time so that I see my heart data in the Venu and other data from the Edge. This means that the Km I ride will show up twice in the Connect and Strava. Very disappointing!

Sorry to hear that you are having issues with the heart rate reading. It is possible to set the Venu device to broadcast the heart rate and have the Edge device use that instead of the heart rate strap. If you need further assistance please reach out to our team for further assistance.
