Love the features

I bought this a few weeks ago on an awesome repair swap from the fantastic Garmin service folks. This mid range computer has high price-like features. I just have to learn to use the touch screen for the obvious! Great device, pairs easily.

Cannot display sped while under tree coverage

Never had issues of good signals with other models Garmin …the 830 cannot display proper speed while under trees

I am still puzzled.

I have had my Edge 830 for about 2 weeks, and still cannot have it function properly. It does not seem to be able to connect to the GPS signal in a stable way. I did all that Garmin suggests to do, and yet out of about 10 rides, there was only once when my GPS signal worked from start to finish. On every other ride, it either never worked or was so spotty that it was useless. I live in a densely populated areas, so I don't understand why it's not working properly. I suspend my judgment, and hope it'll improve, otherwise I will return it. Every other feature is excellent, but I bought it as a GPS computer, not to know the weather or the calories I burn.
