Great graphics

So it was time to replace my old Edge 510 and I bit the bullet. A little learning curve but I’m a Luddite. I love the bar graphs for critical data like HR. Easy viewing during a race. Still learning the navigation but it brought me home even with a couple reroutes. Program if activities has improved and can go on the fly

No big surprises!

Iam coming from old Edge 705 and was expecting a much better Edge. Had to reset device 3X due to sensors not pairing! No bike profile.. weight, brand etc. All these issues should be resolved in a firmware.

This Garming is not working with my Di2 system

I am not happy with this Item, I does not work with my Di2 system, it disconnects and connects frequently, Support say there is no fix for this. Paid full price just to find out is not working the way it should work

I bought this Edge 830 for its many updates over the Edge 800 which I've enjoyed for many years. Being able to vehicles approaching from behind you is really great.

Good overall bike computer

Touch screen and color are nice. Easy to configure screens. Really surprised you have to manually copy courses to the device instead of pushing them to Garmin and having them sync to the device.

This replaces my Garmin edge 810. It started flaking out. The 830 seems like a good replacement from the 810. Work very similar (touch screen, buttons). The big change for me was that activities are now the actual bike setups. On the 810 the bike setups were used WITH an activity. I think I like this better. I can see a bikes use and track mileage, etc for maintence. The 810 did not have a way to do that. There are some other features that I have not used yet but sound great, like the alarm.

Amazing Display and plenty of data

I moved from a Karoo 2 to this as a result of the software issues plaguing the K2 and sensors. I wanted a reliable head unit and the Garmin 830 delivers. its a bit smaller than the Hammerhead unit, but the transflective display is bright and very easy to read even when the sun is shining on it. I haven't used the navigation yet, but expect it to work well.
