Great computer doesn’t upload a lot of times

I’ve had many Garmin computers in the past and I also bought the new crew two. The crew two seems to upload faster. I love the Garmin screen in the bright sun now I love the features, I love the climbing. It’s just a great computer outside of having to upload it to Estrada and I’m using it properly, with Garmin connect it just doesn’t always auto do it I have to do it to to three times sometimes

Course re-routing leaves a lot to be desired.

"Course re-routing" feature needs a lot of improving. All it does is tell me to make U-turns back to the point where I left the course. Even at times when all I have to do is make one turn and ride a short distance to get back on my course, the 830 will give me U-turn prompts and try to get me to backtrack several miles to get back to my original "off course" point.

Other Than the Ghost Ride…

So far, I love the metrics and the information I get from this unit. Being able to customize the dashboards is fantastic. The only issue I’ve had so far is that sometimes when it’s charging, it turns on like I’m on a training ride. The elapse time starts running, along with a speed of about 2 mph. Nothing’s physically moving but it doesn’t appear to affect my rides, so I just delete it from the history. Other than that, Five Stars.

Not as good as it should be

I am surprised that I need to use a 3rd party map program (Trailforks) on a garmin product. I was under the impression that "maps/navigation" computer was what I purchased. I should have just bought a cheap cellphone and used the Trailforks app. Oh well lesson learned. I was thinking about buying a Fenix 6x watch, now I will have to reevaluate this decision.

It does come from the factory with a built in map program but does also allow for other apps like Trailforks for specialty applications to be added to the device.
