Don't get lost

I started group rides and often seem to end up riding by myself. I always worried about getting lost. With the Garmin 830, I don't have to worry about that or fumble with the cue sheet.

I am totally on board with my 830, as this is my initial first time to ever using a cycling computer, and I am hook with the ease and motivation it aspires with its touch screen and easy data layout.

It’s got everything and more

The Garmin 830 is an all around cycling data superstar. The levels in which you can customize the way the data is delivered to you are infinite and it really helps keep your workout plan in check. The 830 is a formidable tool if you want to improve your performance and keep track of your gains while it also gives you acces to all the info that’s relevant to riding such as weather conditions, routes and security.

Great product overall. Some challenges transferring data to phone via Bluetooth. Needed to repair Garmin product multiple times to iPhone to transfer data

Easy read and use touch screen, but....

This is a beautiful cycling computer but after using another “Cycling Focused” computer fir the last 5 years I’m very disappointed I the lack of more complete cycling matrixes. Climbing data is one of the most important matrixes in cycling. We’ve seen the industry move to smaller compacts, shorter crank arm lengths, and more cassette gears to facilitate climbing. So WHY isn’t there climbing data; highest and average grade, expansion, best and average climbing ft/min? Makes me believe the designer is not a cyclist and Garmin has not listened to years of complaints about this subject. I don’t care about badges. I don’t need kudos. I want to train with as much science as possible. There are other data points I’d like, and I’m very disappointed in this buy.
However, is it beautiful and easy to manipulate and sync. Does it provide GPS accuracy and route guidance. Yes.
