Taking me a little time to get everything working and linked to Strava but the product is solid. I am looking for some great uTube videos to continue down the learning curve and how to download trails on the device

I bought this for a multi-day backcountry ride - and it worked perfectly. Also, its was quick to set up and learn how to use!

More than I’ll ever use

I’ve only used it a few times so far and I’ve still got some tweaking to do but overall this is an outstanding and useful unit with a surprisingly easy to see screen. That was my biggest concern and it turned out great. It’s got a ton of features, most I’ll never use but I can see how they will be useful to some cyclists. I still in the process of weeding through those features. GREAT unit!

Bad battery

My new Edge 830 battery starts draining immediately. I cannot hold a charge well. I would have assumed this was normal. Except: I previously purchased a refurbished Edge 820 and that unit had an excellent battery. I think I got a bad deal. Otherwise, I like the 830.

Worked like a charm! Need to drink more water though according to the sweat stats.

Just OK for the price

Just OK. This thing’s interface feels like it was designed 20 years ago. It did the job though, in the beginning. But now, 3 days later, Garmin’s servers are down for two days and all of my data is stuck on the Edge. Im not blaming Garmin for having their servers go down, but architecting their system so that I cannot access my data on my Edge if their servers are down is RIDICULOUS. The work around is to manually download my data onto a Windows PC. Well, being that I’m a respectable human, I use Apple computers with USB-C ports, and my Edge is not working with my Mac.
I wish I had gone with the Wahoo Roam

I had an edge 500 for years. When it quit I was directed to the 830 and it was a great choice. So much to learn about it.
