Packed full of useful features. Easy to use

Garmin really knocked it out of the park with these units. Even though the initial set up can be a little lengthy ( creating an account, building a profile, updating apps and maps, pairing phones, etc) once you're done, you are all set. The buttons are easy to use buttons, and navigating the screens is super simple. AND SPEAKING OF NAVIGATING, when it comes to route/ trail navigation, I don't think there is a better company.
The only down side is Garmin doesn't YET play with Google Chrome, so you need a Windows or mac OS to really utilize all that these units are capable of. To counter what I just said, Apple or Android users no worries, Garmin connect works awesome with both OS.

Great little bike computer

I really like this bike computer. As with most things Garmin, the user experience takes a little poking around to get used to, but once you do, it's a breeze. Simple to use, nothing fancy and unnecessary, and I love how easily I can get Strava routes I've created from my phone to the 530. Plus the ability for it to upload to Strava after the fact on its own! Highly recommend. If you really feel you need touch screen, the 830 might be the ticket, but for the price, and the fact that I'm wearing gloves most of the time anyhow, the 530 does the trick.

Absolutely kills the data game! Finding out I can see my altitude adjustment, log ride nutrition/hydration, add Strava Live Segments, and keep myself on course is awesome! Crazy I can also see respiration rate and sweat loss. THE ultimate data machine. If you don't care about touchscreen on a cycling computer, this is hands down the winner. No reason to get an 830 or 1030.

Great Product - UI could be more intuitive
on April 17, 2021

Prior to getting this product I also have a Vivoactive 3 that I used to use for Strava/Trailforks ride recording. Using the Edge is easy and nice to use for that and since acquiring I haven't used my Vivoactive anymore. The main reason I purchased the Edge is to use it for turn-by-turn directions on places that I haven't been before with the Komoot app. This works really well! My only little complaint is that it doesn't come with a manual. I had to go online and what I found so far wasn't that well written and easy to understand how all the functions work. I briefly watched a couple of Youtube videos, but I know there are probably a lot of cool features that I don't know how to use with this. So at some point, I'll have to dive in and try to figure more about it. I'm a techy person and can usually figure out most electronic things by just navigating and playing around with them. This was not the case with this device so far, because I think the UI isn't as intuitive as it should be. That's my 2 cents!

Great! iOS integration is buggy

The Connect app would NOT work with my iPhone 12 Pro on iOS 14.4 for the longest time. Really significant feature that should work seamless for everyone all the time. Could not pair with the Edge. Finally works now though.
