Enjoying the 530, but...

I’m enjoying my 530 very much. There was a bit of a learning curve, and occasionally it loses the Bluetooth connection. Not certain if it’s the 530 or my iPhone. Anyway, I’m pleased with the 530.

Nice new features, but...

GPS is interior to my old 520. I get “Off Segment” notification quite often in Strava with the same settings as I used 520. Hopefully they can update the firmware to get it closer to 520 GPS accuracy.

Solid performance

Worked well in a 50 mile MTB race. Warned when off course within 25 yds. Initial setup was a bit cumbersome, but once done it is fine.

Good if not great improvement over my garment 510. Not very intuitive to set up. Once the set up was complete it is great. I wish they had a maximum grade feature.

I had 820 pro went to 520 plus and after on the 530 this is the best device I ever owned is not just a fast Garmin everything change the interface is much simple and faster to get the job done . It's day and night compared to the 520plus the battery life are 20hours I ride 5 days without charge if you use the training peaks you see can see all the work out live like you see at zwift and the calendar showing all the week ahead what has to be done and the fantastic integration with trail forks you can't go wrong on the 530.

Device works well, buttons don’t.

This is my second 530. I returned the first one because the back button didn’t work properly. My second one works better, but the back button has no tactile press feel, and is finicky. The down arrow is similar. For a premium product I expect the buttons to work well and uniformly. It’s pretty aggravating to have to press key buttons extra hard or multiple times. I doubt wahoo devices have this issue.
