I had the Edge500 for about 8 years and had recorded over 50k on it with zero issues. Upgraded just because... and the 530 has a better display that's bigger and brighter. I don't use all the features but I like the incident detection as I ride alone 90% of the time. I've loaded a route when I was riding in a new area for a club ride so that was helpful to keep me on course while leading at the front of the peloton. It integrates well with TrainerRoad outdoor workouts. I would highly recommend this for the price points and features!

Gets me where i need to go when I've never been there. I relied heavily on the navigation when traveling around Milwaukee on a recent bikepacking trip. Only compliant would be slow updates on location in inner city streets like Chicago.

I wanted a dedicated navigation device to replace my phone while riding foreign trails and roads for a few reasons: better battery life, easier use in bad weather, no need to pull my phone out (or leave mounted to handlebars, exposed to the bumps and elements) at every split in the trail/road.

The computer is pretty easy to use and connected to all devices without problems. The only issue I have is the navigation gets tripped up a little if you get off route at all.

Great battery life and accurate GPS tracks. It seems a little less legible than the Edge 520. The buttons don't feel great either.

This Garmin 530 really hits the sweet spot, balancing price and functionality. I use this for mountain biking on mostly familiar trails so a full map touchscreen is really more than I needed. I haven't used the trail navigation but it's nice to know that feature is available when and if I need it. If you're looking to improve your cycling with some performance metrics, the included sensors in the bundle are a great start. I also like the fact that when I'm ready for the next step up, this computer is compatible with several power meters. All in all a great addition to my riding!

Overall awesome bike computer. Great battery life, and size of screen is easily to read while riding. I upgraded from the Garmin Edge 130 Plus and I'm really happy with the ability to change navigation and see intersections on the go. I use it primarily for mountain biking and the accident detection sounded like a great idea, but it gets set off almost every time I stop which is frustrating. The only other issue is that it auto-detects 'jumps' even on flat roads which can get annoying. Overall though really happy with this product!
