Full featured cycling computer.

My second Garmin edge. Going from the Edge 25 which is now on my spare bike to the Edge 530 on my everyday bike. The Edge 530 is extremely customizable, with the connect app you have all the information you need to improve your training. From Strava to indoor Zwift sessions when paired with the Garmin speed and cadence sensors it’s everything I need. Very happy with this purchase.

Seem to have a # of valuable features

I’ve had the Garmin Edge 530 about 2 months and honestly I have not been able to load it correctly, even though I’ve watched the videos I’m still unable to use all the features. So I’m not very satisfied at all with the Garmin Edge 530. I’ve had other cycle computers and eventually understood how to use the system, but this is not working for me as of this day. I appreciate your asking to review my experience with the edge 530. It has a host of amazing features but I’ve not been able to tap into them at all! Thank you.

Love the new stuff!

I have been using a Garmin 500 for about 8 years. I had no idea what i was missing. The Strava Live segments are real motivators. Have not even used the navigation feature yet. The wireless synching and updates are so nice. Have not even had to charge the battery yet and have done about 4 or 5 rides.

Great Mapping

Mapping has allowed me to travel a bit more fearlessly outside of my usual routes, when paired with Komoot, but the map that runs when I am riding aimlessly gives helpful context, though it's a bit hard to see options around me; if you are one who needs to make it up as you go, the touch screen of the next level up might make those on-the-fly route choices easier.

I was using the Garmin 510, and was definitely worried about not having the touchscreen function, not knowing if the side buttons would be sufficient. I shouldn't have been worried, I actually like the buttons for interaction much better than the touchscreen! If sweat gets on the screen of the 530, you can wipe it without it messing up your screens. Setup is pretty simple as well, slight learning curve. If you're a Garmin 510 user and needing a new bike computer, look no further than the Edge 530!

Upgrade from the Garmin Edge 520

I have been using the Edge 530 for about two weeks now and really like it above the Edge 520. I have yet to use the navigation, but really am liking the Strava Live Segments compared to the 520 and the extra analytics I get related to my power meter. Have recommended to a friend and he recently upgraded over the weekend also from the 520 to 530. Highly recommend it. Easy to set up and use.
