Exciting at first.

I’ve just started using this device as I hated using my iPhone on the bike, it seemed to always pop or break off causing either a cracked iPhone screen or broken holder. Plus I hated that when I dropped sweat off my forehead it would cause the program to pause. So I replaced it with this 530, as the 830 would have caused me grief with the touchscreen (like my iPhone). I just wish it was voice activated. I did like that it notified me of an incoming call. Hooking it up was easy. It seems to be spot on and I’m liking the warnings that pop up telling me about turns (I already know about). Would be cool if the garmin app would suggest routes, maybe it does and I haven’t found that yet. Would be cool if it would connect with my music so I can push next!!

to much stuff

I tried once and did not like it. It has to many features and is to complicated. I want something like my Montana 610 only smaller for my MTB bike. It did not show as many trails as my iPhone did and the brightness keep going in and out which made it hard to see. I will be returning this.

Great data points to maximize your rides

Bought this a week ago and love all the information it provides. Calorie counts are dramatically different than they should be. A ride that is a 3,000 calorie ride shows as 1,550. Other than that I love it.

good tool if Ill know how to use

I bought this product and really cant read maps Im a MTB not to use full on maps other things is great

Accuracy finally

I bought this because my iPhone / Strava kept dropping my GPS location on rides. I’ve got four rides on the Garmin for a little over two hundred miles both on and off road and it’s doing great! The routing is perfect for exploring new places. All the roads and trails show up. I really like the display showing how much more climbing I have left to the top. Only complaint is my virtual ride partner keeps finishing ahead of me. I’ve got to catch that guy.
