Models that cost less didn’t have the features I want, more expensive models were too big or just too much money. Only thing I’d change on the 530 is making the buttons a bit larger - they’re hard to use with gloves on.

Slow and frustrating!

Setup takes a while and is frustrating with the buttons on the sides. Maybe the Edge 830 with touchscreen would work better. You can get similar GPS tracking with your smartphone.

Not very accurate routing

Just completed first ride and it’s not very accurate. The trail system was a relatively tight one that we know well so we did not get lost but if it had been a new trail system we would have been in trouble. I used the device and downloaded a route and attempted to follow it. It caused more confusion than clear direction. Beeping at me, indicating we need to make a u turn. Hope it will work better on a trail system that has more trail separation.

great device but get the touch sensitive option

The device is extremely customizable. I am especially pleased with how I integrates with the twilight radar add-on. (negative) I didn't realize how annoying the need to button-click-navigate the menu items feels in 2021

Loving the simplicity

I've only used the device twice but do far it offers everything that I need when cycling, duration distance, time, speed ect. It's a bit pricey but I will see in the long run if it's worth it. I will check back in soon.

I’m new to this type of device and I’m still trying to figure out all it can do. So far it’s pretty amazing - being able to map routes (on Google maps) and load them for the ride. I’m sure there’s much more -
