Arrived with defective battery

Unit arrived with defective battery; would not stay on for more than a minute, would immediately lose all remaining battery % when unplugged from a charger, would intermittently display no battery warning screens.
Ordered a replacement and will update this review once it arrives.

Tracks my rides

I've had mine for 3 months and love it! It's great on the trail when I run out of cell service and I am wondering where I am supposed to go. I also love having the app to track my progress and see how I am improving as a rider. The incident detection feature is also comforting to my wife to give her peace of mind should I crash while I'm out by myself. Would definitely buy it again!

Cool lil gadget but I have no clue what I'm doing with it. Been watching YouTube videos to learn, in the long run it'll be all good but Garmin should put out a YouTube video on using this instead of thinking everyone knows how to use it right off the bat.

Great bicycle computer

It has navigation which can't guide to anywhere unless you're there before with this device and record/mark that location.
Browsing map on the device is TOTALLY JOKE.
Other than navigation and once paired smartphone, you can have tons of information about course ridden on you phone.

The Edge 530 packed with features at a totally reasonable price. It’s not as intuitive as an iPhone, but you get used to the logic. The DC Rainmaker review is spot on. It’s REALLY good!

I bought this about a month ago and love it on one of the ride Strava never turn on in the phone so I lost the ride now with Garmin that will not happen it will always be there I have one problem there is not a manual that comes with it so you have to play with to understand it and also on how to set it up how do you get a manual for that it was a great investment and it is awesome

Wish my first experience was better

My brand new and fully charged Edge 530 froze up after only 3.4 miles on my first ride...I could not get the screen to clear...tried the remote and all buttons...even tried to turn it off...nothing...the screen stayed frozen for the rest of my ride...definitely not what I was hoping for or expected...when I got home and Googled it I found it is fairly common...had to hold down the power button for 10 seconds and it finally powered off...I guess I will see what happens next weekend if the trails are still dry...never had this issue with my Forerunner...hope it's a one time thing and not common.
