Solid Performance

I map my own courses and depend on my Edge 530 to guide my ride. This is a solid performer. My only regret is not waiting to find an 830. The absence of screen touch control is more significant than I imagine, especially while riding.

Garmin 520

I bought it 2 months ago and have use it extensively. The included feature are excellent, especially the calories/ water intake feature. The fact that it pairs with other products like the rear light radar is especially useful.

There are so many features that the learning curve is steep. Once one gets familar with the Edge it becomes my favorite bike computer that I have ever owned.

Great update to my E510

After owning an Edge510 for a few years, it was definitely time for an update. Overall, it's been a very good unit. Navigation is great, all the new/extra data is fun to look at - I'm still somewhat new to incorporating it into a training regimen. If I have one complaint, the unit I have has a 'sticky' Back (lower right-hand) button. It doesn't have an appreciable click feel and sometimes gets stuck in the depressed position.

This is my first bike computer. I was hesitant to bring anything electronic to my riding experience, I sit at a computer all day, I ride to get away from that, did I even want a digital display? Turns out I did. I race recreational XC races, immediately it gave me a better idea how far I was on the course (and I could better pace my refueling during multi hour races). I am primarily a mountain biker, I still haven't figured out how to get the heart rate to display when in mountain biking mode. Sometimes I've had trouble getting rides to automatically upload between my Edge 530 and my iPhone 7 and have to reset the connection to sync again. I've found it to be a helpful tool to help me improve my riding and keep my stoke up for riding with the insights to my riding / progress.

REVIEW OF VECTOR 3 Garmin Power Pedals
on October 14, 2019
Posted by: TerryUCD
I prefer to provide a review for my Vector 3 Garmin Power Meter Pedals. I bought the pedals over a year ago and they have been a major source of frustration. I'm on my third pair and about every couple of weeks I have power drops and erratic readings. A cleaning of the circuits within the pedals seems to help for a couple of weeks. I hope the Edge 530 performs better than the pedals.

Should have been better for this kind of money.

I've been using the 530 for a couple months now, and it has more than enough features for my commutes. But those buttons are just so hard to use consistently. Half the time I have to try multiple pushes to get the "click". And the problem with not waking up after charging sometimes - tired of having to reset. Would trade some battery life for a larger screen, but it works pretty well for now.
