I have been using the Edge 530 on my gravel and mountain bike. It has worked flawlessly for me so far. The only issue I have had is the heart rate alert. I set to to inform me at 80% and it doesn't, but it will give me false alarms at about 40%. Hopefully an update will come out soon for that.

Pleased I Purchased This

I finally decided I was tired of trying to get competitors less expensive bike computers to work reliably and decided to spend the money and buy the Garmin 530. I am glad that I did and, while it has taken some time getting used to what it can do and how to do it, I have not had one issue and the unit performs reliably. My only negative is that, for me, the screen could do with being a little bigger. You get what you pay for and the 530 meets the quality and performance standard that one would wish for.

Nice but can’t figure out Trailforks turn b turn

I got the 530 because of the trail apps app on the unit now I’ve had a couple people try to figure it out just to make sure that I wasn’t doing something wrong but I’m sure I’m probably doing something wrong, it tells you where the trails are but it doesn’t give you the turn by turn or I’m doing something wrong either way I can’t seem to get it to work so hopefully I can run into somebody that’ll show me how to use it properly

I upgraded my Edge to the Edge 530 and was happy I did. I also use a Garmin Varia and it used up almost the whole battery in a 2 1/2 hour ride. The Edge 530 seems much more compatible and the battery holds almost four times longer. It has great analytics as well and is pretty easy to use. In addition, I am always amazed at the great customer service I get when I call Garmin, which I do frequently, for any questions and concerns.

Garmin Edge 530

Works great. Love the update wireless feature. Battery life while connected to the Varia radar rear light sucks tho. Only 5 hours or so. Another complaint is that it does not sync to anything before Windows10. What's with that?

Nice device, but a few issue

Overall it is a big improvement over my previous 810. However, buttons have a somewhat inconsistent feel. I have issues with it sometimes not being able to sync with my iPhone -- seems random & inconsistent -- sometimes it sync's 4 or 5 days in a row then refuses to sync. I finally need to plug it into my laptop to get a successful sync. Can't figure it out. Occasionally, after a successful sync, it will start another ride, which I need to stop & then delete. Not sure why it happens? If these bugs got fixed, it would be terrific.
