No instructions!

The Edge 530 seems to be able to do almost anything except walk the dog. But it comes without instructions. If you already know how to work Garmin GPS bike computers, it is probably wonderful. The owner's manual tells you what it can do, but is pathetic on how to get it to do those things. Unless you have a friend who is gps computer savvy, buy something else. Or accept it will be a very steep learning curve, and you will frequently lose data you wanted to save.

It's good but not great

I have owned MANY Garmin devices over the years. I don't remember ever having so many devices with buggy features. I love that Garmin pushes the limits to give us great new features, and with that comes occasional issues. BUT all my newest devices have crashed, not worked or just generally fallen short of being as reliable as you would expect. YET I continue to buy their products...so maybe the problem is me...

Great bike computer

Everything I need and more. My only gripe is ride uploading, takes a while, has a hard time connecting to my iphone, even with my fr945 disconnected. A seamless iphone and wifi connection would be most welcome. Otherwise 5 star

Horrible Functionality

Continuous shutdowns and loss of power, I finally returned it for my money back. Made riding my bike and tracking too stressful taking out the enjoyment of being on my bike.

Playing nice with I phone

Everything works great, I like the training feed back. the screen is a upgrade from the 520. The only problem has been it doesn’t play well with my I phone it’s 50/50 that it will Down load segments or upload a ride. Not the greatest thing for someone who rides every day. Also if I ride in the GYM it’s pain in the Butt to load into Garmin but that’s not the 530 problem !

Fabulous device!

This is my 3td Garmin edge device (520 and explorer) and this is the best of the bunch. It’s packed with features, sleek and the battery life is better than the other two. I love how it connects with my SRAM eTap and have a display page that shows data just from it.

Took My Cycling To A Whole New Level

I have had this device for a while now. The data I have captured helped me gauge my fitness level. I have been able to explore comfortably b/c of the gps. The curve warning is great. Also the feature that will alert your predetermined list know exactly where you are the moment an accident has occurred. Button use is easy and navigating the features is simple. Now that I have one I couldn’t see myself going without one. Great addition to my cycling hobby.

Great Computer

I bought this unit as a replacement for my Garmin 520 resulted in a great investment because this new unit takes you to the next level as far when training in hard weather like the deserts of Afghanistan and you must be properly climatized to know how much you can push during your training, it works fine as a combo with taillights and front lights else from GARMIN, Battery life is much better than the previous unit. Working fine I will recommend it for anybody who wishes to track their rides.
