improved battery compartment--poor battery life

very poor battery life = 2-3 hours at most does not accentuate many surrounding sounds like most muffs =hot above 50 degrees

Where is OD green options

Have two sets of these and they work wonderfully but they truly need an OD Green option. Would for sure give 5 stars if they didn't make me rattle can these to get OD Green. COME ON 3M!!

Horrible battery life

I have a pair of these and have owned them for about a year now started off great but battery life is horrible at my local matches I’m changing batteries 2-3 times over the course of about 5 hours using fresh brand new batteries every time and not cheap batteries using some of the best and they just don’t last I can’t give more then a 1 star review because if I had to do it again I’d save the extra money and get a set from a different manufacturer

Great muff!

I've been using these for almost 10 years. I've been to dozens of matches and used these at every single one. As the other reviews have stated, the battery life is not great, but if you put lithium batteries in it, that will fix the issue. The foam cups last much longer than 3m says they will, provided you don't leave them in a hot car. I eventually wore them out and replaced them with gel cups. The only major con for me is there's no way to attach them to a helmet because the wiring goes inside the headband.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good but electronics are finicky

Hello,
I am writing this review in hopes of getting my Peltor 100 Tactical (TAC100-OTH) ear protection either serviced or replaced. I have only had them for a little over 5 months and about a week ago, I've been experiencing some abnormal operating behaviors.
The dial that functions as the on/off switch for the headphones normally has 3 levels of suppression indicated by an audible tone as you increase the dial's travel. Now, when I power them on, there is only one audible tone and it's near the end of the travel on the dial. There seems to be no noticeable change in suppression until it reaches this level, thus making it the only option for suppression. In other words, there is no longer any fine tune adjustment and I lose the ability to have it set to the lowest setting for having conversations.
I use them daily at my place of work. Have always used brand new, high quality AAA batteries. They are stored and cared for responsibly as to maximize longevity. Please get in touch with me if you require proof of purchase and or the serial number of my specific earmuffs.
