VARIABLE SUPPRESSION TIME - How!?

As there is no user manual, and at the same time it is indicated - VARIABLE SUPPRESSION TIME - I am wondering - how can I adjust suppression time?
In general it is good product for its money - do not expect too much, just basic active earmuffs, cheap.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for leaving your review and we're sorry for the difficulty. To adjust the suppression time, use the knob to set to the desired suppression time. Setting to the volume to the lowest volume region,first of three volume zones, will adjust to the shortest suppression time. Setting the volume to the highest volume region, third or three volume zones, will adjust to the longest suppression time.

Good but electronics are finicky

Hello,
I am writing this review in hopes of getting my Peltor 100 Tactical (TAC100-OTH) ear protection either serviced or replaced. I have only had them for a little over 5 months and about a week ago, I've been experiencing some abnormal operating behaviors.
The dial that functions as the on/off switch for the headphones normally has 3 levels of suppression indicated by an audible tone as you increase the dial's travel. Now, when I power them on, there is only one audible tone and it's near the end of the travel on the dial. There seems to be no noticeable change in suppression until it reaches this level, thus making it the only option for suppression. In other words, there is no longer any fine tune adjustment and I lose the ability to have it set to the lowest setting for having conversations.
I use them daily at my place of work. Have always used brand new, high quality AAA batteries. They are stored and cared for responsibly as to maximize longevity. Please get in touch with me if you require proof of purchase and or the serial number of my specific earmuffs.

Works well, but very poor ear muff construction

Unfortunately the ear muffs on both of these headsets disintegrated. The quality of the vinyl is poor and very thin. These would be a poor choice. If they invested better quality in the cheapest component, I would highly recommend them for their performance on the gun range

Can't find hygine kit

I've had these for a few years. I quite like them, perform well enough and fold up nicely. BUT I can't find a hygine kit now that the pads are worn out. 3M didn't respond to emails about part numbers and shops can't find the right kit, I'm not even sure you can buy one? That makes them cheap, thow-away rubbish at a a really high price point.

Eats batteries when not in use

Wife an I each have these. We have to remove the batteries after each use or the batteries will be dead next time out. Had this happen first 3 times we used them with 3 sets of new batteries. Started removing the batteries after use, problem solved. But we should not need to do that

Foam pad early breakdown

I purchased these for occasional trap shooting. They were stored inside my house when not in use. The vinyl cover is very thin and developed tears in a very short period of time and finally came apart completely. I’ve had much lower cost eat muffs for significantly longer time with no issues. I paid more money for these with an expectation of better performance. These muffs were well cared for and lightly used, very disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love em’

I’ve had these for the last year and wanted to sincerely put em though the gamut. I pretty much lived in them for 8 months at a time. They are very comfortable to wear and very durable. When shooting outside I liked them the best. I could still hear others speak while others were shooting around me. Indoors not so much. Battery life is good, 3 sets of batteries using them 3 days a week @ 8 months. The Bluetooth is a great addition. I can carry a conversation over Bluetooth when shooting and the person on the other end doesn’t know I’m at the range, unless I tell em. I definitely will buy them again. If they ever die on me!!
I would recommend this to a friend!
