Worthwhile until the hinge broke

Bought a couple of months ago, and initially very pleased but then had the hinges break where it connects to the ear phone. Trying to find ways to repair myself or ways to connect to customer service are onerous.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not so good for a 3M product

I bought my Peltor almost a year ago a week ago I got it broken. The clip that holds the ear piece on the band brokes and I can not find on any online store a way to buy a new piece. Without it, it is impossible to use it. Please, send me a online store that I can buy this replacement piece.

Very weak plastic. Do not buy.

Very cheap and weak plastic. Broke where muff connects to headband rendering them useless because you can’t find replacement parts.

Great For Mowing

Use this in a public garden while operating mowers for hours on end. Works great. Love the bluetooth technology. All day comfort IF it's adjusted right.

I shoot about 500 rounds per week. I've have tried many different ear protection systems. The PELTOR brand (3M) has never let me down. Therefore, when I got into match shooting and it was necessary both protect my ears and hear the Match Officers commands, I looked to PELTOR. This set is remarkable. Superb suppression and clear conversation. The Blue tooth "bells & whistles" are fun too. I use mine in the shop as much as on the range to listen to music or the news from my iPhone. Yes, you can take phone calls on it. Finally the built in talking lady are a sure way to know the status of the device.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Hearing Protector

Another review of broken headset

Add me to the list of frustrated customers. There is no point in adding pictures. If you're reading reviews, they are all the same failure point. I really liked these but they broke due to a cheap plastic piece and I certainly will not buy another pair. Pros- (after adding 3M gel cups) these are super comfortable! I have worn them for 8-10 hour days without issue or complaint. They offer good NRR for being at the range. I haven't shot indoors for several years but I would suspect it would be wise to double up. The sound cutoff is fabulous..my favorite attribute. Mid-priced competitor models seem to completely cut out for a second where as these react much faster. That feature made me really enjoy this model. From a a functional prospective they have been my favorite headset. Cons- The volume could be a bit louder. Having a couple more clicks up would have been nice. BT music is always much lower than ambient sound. They are a bit bulky but not the worst I have seen. The biggest con is this stupid plastic design. I accept that things can break. I looked on online for a replacement part...nope...it doesn't exist. Coming here I see that I am not nearly alone...it happens all the time. That's the real shame here...3M knows about it and simply doesn't care. I'm not a tree hugging environmentalist but it's silly to toss away a headset that you like and still works simply because the manufacturer will not offer a cheap plastic replacement part that is known to fail. We have all looked at the broken part, it's easily removable and hence would be easily replaceable. Its just ridiculous that you cant get the part. 3M-Customers are literally begging you to take money from them. Sell them in pairs because we all know the other side will break shortly. I'll buy a new headset but it absolutely positively will not be another Peltor 500.
