Great Product.

I shoot competitively, bullseye rifle and pistol and getting into action shooting. I like using electronic hearing protection because I want to be able to hear range commands or conversations, but when its time to shoot I like to drown everyone out. I've tried other electronic headphones and felt they worked good, but I couldn't wear them over my ears for long because they were uncomfortable because of my elf shaped ears. I've wanted to buy a pair of Peltor for awhile, but thought since I had a different pair I didn't need these, until I forgot mine for a 3 week competition. Not only are these super comfortable, but the sound quality is so natural that I literally forget that I'm wearing them. Did I need the Bluetooth capability, no, but it works great. I love that the music volume and the volume of everything else are independent, which will also make them great to mow the lawn with.

Does as expected but not totally

I am currently on my 2nd set. The first set had the little black band spacer missing and headband seam open. As a shooting headset, it does what it says. Music plays well since I use them at work (shop floor of aviation company). What I dislike is the phone call "feature." Neither of the two sets can hold a call longer than 2 minutes before dropping audio (audio completely shuts down but headset doesn't turn off) requiring use of the phone speaker function. More often than not, this occurs within 30 seconds of attempting to talk using the headset. Don't advertise a function that either needs certain things to happen before working or doesn't work at all. Headset is fed industrial Duracell batteries and constant use gives me about 1 1/2 days of use.

Bass scratchy

I've had this product for a couple years with light use. In the last year the bass doesn't perform as it used to. It's low, scratchy and honestly annoying. I was very happy with this product till then. Headphones should last a lot longer than that especially for the price tag.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

They are comfortable to wear

My wife and I both have the 500's. We use them around power equipment around thehouse and I use them while shooting. They ha great sound quality, the pairing is easy with my Iphone & iPod, and the noise canceling is adjustable. The only issues I have had over the past couple of years is the head band and the battery door. The head strap has already broken as well as the battery cover retaining strap. I had to use a zip tie to hold the head band together. It would be great is the headstrap would swivel or have an option to wear behind the head. You can't wear a head cover over the head strap. Standing in the sun all day without a hat can be painfull.

Fantastic product for range and hunting

I use these for the range and hunting. No problem wearing them for long periods of time. Very comfortable. I also have my UHF integrated which works very well. I did upgrade the ear cups to gell.
Most importantly from comparing to all major alternatives out there these had the best protection over the major frequencies (500 - 3500) that I needed for long arms .30 +.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I Really Want to Love These

Just as all have described the clip breaks. I used these daily for about a year. I'm deciding right now if I want to purchase another pair or not. Maybe I could try a repair with epoxy. It may be time to look around.

Absolutely amazing!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used these for several jobs! Mowing, using the chainsaw, shooting several guns at the range. Awesome headphones!! Superior hearing protection! My child has autism and prefers this pair over the 6 other pair we have tried.

Breaks easily and now is useless

Pure piece of junk. Headband mount for muffs broke. Cannot locate a replacement and not it is going into the garbage.
