Better than the original WorkTunes!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had the original WorkTunes for years now and still use it all of the time. But when 3m offered me a review sample of the new WorkTunes hearing protector, I jumped at it. The new unit is sleaker and more compact than the older and has fewer controls. A single button controls multiple functions through an easy to understand series of single, double and triple clicks. The 24db noise reduction is terrific, If you are operating a mower or saw you'll still know it's running, but can listen to music or books at a quiet volume without trouble. The headset is very comfortable and well designed for all day use. It fits well enough to wear over a ball cap or knit hat. Also new is a lithium rechargable battery. Just me, but I might have preferred replacable batteries just to insure I had music when I needed it, but I can say the batteries will get you through a work day and you can plug in at night.
I would recommend this to a friend!

great noise cancelling headphones

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I didn't know what to expect from these headphones but they surprised me. The qualities of the speakers when listening to music is incredible and the noise cancelling is much better than my old style generic headphones. I have never liked ear plugs as they always hurt my ears so these will be great when mowing the grass.

Great combo - hearing protection and music!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this item free from 3M to evaluate. Initially I was a little skeptical about how well these would actually be as hearing protection, but was very impressed at how well they reduce outside noise levels.
That being said, there is an issue I have when they're connected to an audio source. The issue is that these don't employ volume limiting in any way, and I was able to play music from my cellphone at levels well beyond what is considered safe levels to protect hearing; as well as making it almost impossible to hear anyone that tried to talk to me. Plus lacking any type of volume control, and relying on the connected device to control the volume, doesn't seem to practical.
Battery life is excellent, as I got them to work continuously for an entire 8 hour shift on a single charge.
Due to the lack of volume control, or limiting capabilities, as hearing protection I'd have to grade these around a C- when audio is played through them. Without audio, easily an A.

So far so good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I only have used them once so far and they worked very well. I used them while mowing my lawn and streaming music from the Internet via my cell phone. I have a half acre and I never lost connection as I was mostly connected to my phone was connected to my wireless router a majority of the time. The only time I heard a "click" was when it switched from my router to the cellular network. The Bluetooth never lost connection with my phone. The outside noise from my tractor and mower was suppressed sufficiently and I had no trouble hearing the music.

Great product up to this point

I bought these in November 18, I used at part time job in machine shop 2 days a week and mowing lawn and weed whacking at home. Product was great to this week problem with charging port now can’t charge.

Comfortable fit, can't hear the music
