Almost Great

I operate two punch presses that create a lot of noise. These hearing protectors work well at reducing the noise to a bearable level - and I can play Pandora for two 10-hour shifts without recharging! Unfortunately, the bluetooth wont connect to my laptop, but this is a limitation of the particular bluetooth chipset my laptop employs. Also, Its hot at work, so it would be nice if the padding and headband were made of a more breathable material. Overall, this is still a great product and I would recommend it to friends and coworkers.

Bluetooth is very subpar

Like other reviewers, the comfort is great, volume is good as well. The Bluetooth technology is severely lacking, especially for such a large company like 3M. The Bluetooth stutters constantly, and that is with phone right next to it. I have a pair of 20.00 Bluetooth headphones that have never skipped. It seems 3M should get this figured out as it such a large company with the resources to do it, Bluetooth is not a new technology, so it seems as this is being packaged and sent out knowing it’s limitations.

Fits Well, Very low volume.

I like how these fit and they are comfortable, but the volume level is horrible. When riding my mover I can hardly hear my music. There is a limiter that won't let the volume go to loud and it is way to low. Hopefully the store will take them back.

The unit is first and foremost a hearing protector and will only get to a certain level of dB. However, with the Safe Volume Control feature on this design, it actually has a higher dB limit on it than our previous model. To change these modes, please use the following steps:
• Unit needs to be off • Press and hold Power Button and Center of Tuning Dial together • Voice Assist will say, “Settings Menu” • Press Center Dial to toggle between menu items. • Stop when you hear either, “Dosimeter” or “Limiter” (not “Dosimeter Default Setting”) • Turn Scroll Wheel to toggle between “Dosimeter” and “Limiter” • “Dosimeter” is the “Safe Volume Control” technology • “Limiter” is to be used if the user wants to keep the max limit set at 82 decibels • Press “Function” key to exit once the desired setting is chosen

Not Loud Enough!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i work in a ship's engine room, and with my mp3 player all the way up, i can barely hear it... probably good enough for around the house, but these are not for noisy industrial situations. even in a quiet room they really arent that loud, makes you wonder if they would stand up to lawnmower or snowblower noise. otherwise... the product is a tad heavy, and really not much bass, so if you like rap and hip-hop music these arent for you. also, the wires a kind of annoying, what they should do is put them inside the adjustment band. 3m should let me design a functional industrial pair =)

worked well until they stay on for 6 seconds

I was happy with them for a year even though the battery had problems. Got replacement battery--it was defective on arrival.
Now they stay on for 6 seconds and then go silent, not off, the blue power light is still on. There is no sound-zero! When I turn them off, I do hear 'power off.' The blue stays on till I power down.

Volume limit

will not charge

was very happy with these, until I was not. The charging port was pushed into the case making it impossible to charge. These were relatively new and had only been charged/plugged ion about 5 times. Now they are useless...

Charging port broke off

Got this pair as a gift. Went to charge them for the first time and the port in the headphone broke off and went inside. Very disappointed.
