General construction typical 3M High Quality

I have owned 2 pairs of these for use by myself and others. We use them for yard work, tractor work, etc. Up until about a week ago they have been great (although volume is limited, but maybe a regulation). A week ago I noticed that one would not charge unless the cord was exactly in the right place. a day or so later and there is nothing but a hole where the micro USB was. I switched to the other pair and looked very carefully and you could see that the micro usb metallic connector was loose. With 2 charges, it also fell off and is bouncing around inside the headset. These have been great devices until now, and we are missing them. Will call 3M Monday and see what to do. Shame to throw them out. Found quite a few other web comments around regarding exactly the same problem. Wonder if it is a trend. Would have been 5 stars, but can no longer charge them.

Great sound, not so great call quality

I've had mine for a few months now and love using them to mow my yard and use any power tools while listening to podcasts. The battery life has been good, and the sound quality is also good. I don't recommend using these for Bluetooth phone calls, however, as the headphones pick up so much ambient noise through the microphone that the other person says it sounds like I'm talking to them from the other side of a large room, and they end up hearing anything I'm handling - even paper - more than me. Otherwise, they're great for Bluetooth audio from my Samsung Galaxy S7 and now my Google Pixel 3.
My only other complaint is with the charging port. These headphones use a mini-USB charging cable, the same as nearly every Android phone for the past few years (until the new USB-C standard started), which is fine because I have extra cables around the house. The problem, however, is that the charging port on my headphones broke off inside the ear cup today, and now I can no longer charge them.
I would recommend this to a friend!

not to be used around communication radios

I bought this 2 months ago and one set started sounding weird after a week of use, then stop getting sound all together, i purchased a second set and it now has no volume on the left side, when i use my Motorola radio i noticed the sound would cut if it was playing if it wasn't playing music it would make a high pitch sound, the WIFI is bad too, not good enough for the price.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

3M WorkTunes stopped going in to the pairing mode

The hearing protection of this device works very well from mowing and chain sawing.
After a year of use, it suddenly will not pair with my i phone 8. You press the button on the 3M headphone and it says, power on, battery high, and then a bunch of beeps....
I guess it did last about a year. Have to say that i know my blue tooth works on my phone because it does connect to my car and printer without problems.
I really can't say to friend you should buy this, a good set of muffs would work just as well.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great noise protection, Poor parts / design

I've had 2 pairs in 6 months and one or both speakers on both pairs have gone super quiet. First pair button side went quiet first followed by the other, R.A'd. Second pair again after a few weeks, button side speaker gone quiet again. As hearing protection 9/10, as headphones 4/10.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this product. They are easy to adjust, comfortable and really block outside noise levels. I've used them while mowing the yard and in my shop while grinding on steel. To be honest I've even used the Bluetooth function to listen to my computer. What I really like about the Bluetooth function is the ability to receive phone calls that I would normally miss while wearing hearing protection. The simplified one button operation along with the voice prompts make it easy to operate the Bluetooth. I've gotta say these are the best hearing protectors I've ever used and I've tried a lot of different styles over the years. 3M gave me this product as a free sample so I could evaluate them.

Easy bluetooth connection Definitely protect hearing from loud machinery. light weight. Negatives. no volume button adjust on headset. If you wear glasses the tight fit will press the arms of the glasses into your temples causing some discomfort. Overall. well worth it.
