Great hearing protection with headphones

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was guilty of wearing ear buds during mowing and turning up the volume too loud to compete with the mower. These units were built for this job. #1 they are good hearing protection. They fit well, they are comfortable and stay on well. Perhaps a little bulky and heavy feeling at first but I am not somebody that normally wears full size headphones.The radio/audio quality is adequate. I appreciate the voice assist; It announces the frequency you have tuned it too. The volume and tuning knobs are easy to turn and use, even with gloves on. The majority of my music listening is via my iphone. I wish the audio cable that came with the unit was just a little bit longer (12" longer would be great.) I also wish the unit had an automatic off feature... I left them on and ran the batteries down. These units are rugged and well built.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got these as a free sample from 3m and so far I am bery impressed. The radio is clear and the soundproof headset works great. I turned my tv all the way up to volume level 50 before I could even hear it at all while wearing them. They are as comfortable as any noise cancelling headphones could be. The only negative I have is the batteries were very difficult to get snapped in. But overall,very nice. I can't wait to mow the lawn this summer with these.

Solid hearing protection

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent hearing protection, comfort, reception, and sound quality. The Voice Assist feature is well implemented. The only drawback to this model is the lack of presets for the radio function, which can be an inconvenience if you tend to hop stations while listening. I work in a noisy shop, wear hearing protection pretty much all day long, and highly recommend these or their "big brother" model with Bluetooth functionality.

Every thing works nice idea if you can still hear what your working with I put ear plugs in to and turn the volume all the way up
but be aware of your surroundings when you do this

tuning

I bought this 3Mtekk Protection Work Tunes. Now after 2 years the out side plastic has become very sticky, like fly trap paper. I have tried warm soap and water that did not work, then I tried Alcohol wipes that also did nothing. What do you recommend?.

Great Noise Reduction

My employer purchased these for me to use in a very noisy machine embroidery room. They are wonderful! They really reduce the noise from the machine running. However, I cannot get the radio to come in - which is more the building I believe. My only issue at all is that the cord from the headset to my ipod is not working. I believe a wire is cracked or broken. Can still be used for noise reduction however.

Good, but

Works well mostly. Two issues:(1) it eats AA batteries but is supposed to have auto turnoff to prevent that; (2) whatever it is that the voice says is not decipherable to me or the others I asked to listen. What is she saying about “mode?”

Miss having a digital display

Had to replace my previous Peltor WTD22 headset, which had a digital station display. I miss the convenience of knowing via display what station is selected; this helps in determining which direction to select to change stations. This set does an adequate job of providing hearing protection, but there is more static than on my old set.
I would recommend this to a friend!
