Good Features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this from Discover3M. It has a nice feature which states the frequency, but the reception is a little wanting. There are not as many stations as on my car radio but the ones that are there seem to be ok.

I bought this set after loving an older model that only had radio feature, I wanted Bluetooth. The volume is not sufficient, especially when wearing sunglasses while working and mowing. I find myself putting up this model and using my old one more often than not.

Hello! The unit is first and foremost a hearing protector and will only get to a certain level of dB. However, with the Safe Volume Control feature on this design, it actually has a higher dB limit on it than our previous model. The only thing we can think of is that you may have it on the lower set dB (limiter), rather than the default Safe Volume Control (Dosimeter). To see if that is it, please use the following steps to set your unit in to the Safe Volume Control (Dosimeter) mode:

1 Unit needs to be off
2 Press and hold Power Button and Center of Tuning Dial together
3 Voice Assist will say, “Settings Menu”
4 Press Center Dial to toggle between menu items.
5 Stop when you hear either, “Dosimeter” or “Limiter” (not “Dosimeter Default Setting”)
6 Turn Scroll Wheel to toggle between “Dosimeter” and “Limiter”
7 “Dosimeter” is the “Safe Volume Control” technology
8 “Limiter” is to be used if you wish to keep the max limit set at 82 decibels
9 Press “Function” key to exit once the desired setting is chosen

Great for mowing lawn!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 3M was kind enough to send me a free sample of their WorkTunes Hearing Protector to evaluate. I'm really happy with the WorkTunes overall! I was surprised by the sound quality and the ease of use. I was able to toss in the batteries, set my station, and be outside to my mower within only a couple of minutes of opening the box. The sound of my lawnmower was muffled so low that I could really enjoy the music and even caught myself singing! I'm extremely happy with this product and plan to use it every time I'm outside mowing or running other equipment. The radio does have reception issues when attempting to use it indoors (it was an expected issue, so it is merely an observation), so for indoor use I'd recommend using the included jack for playing something from your phone or other device.

Great Fetures

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this as a test product. I use sound protection in my wood working shop as well as outdoor work. It works great for sound protection. Radio works well also. the only thing of concern is wearing it out on hot days I sweat more around the pads a lot .

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is quite good. However I ware glasses. I recommend a thicker head band and a softer and thicker material for the ear pads. Or a different method of putting pressure on the ears. The sound is great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great product with really cool features and is so nice to have when mowing the lawn. I used these WorkTunes to be able to listen to music while mowing - at a time when I otherwise would have had silence. These headset is quite bulking and was a bit too heavy on my head for my liking, but overall the headset worked well and keep me occupied! I would use it again for this purpose.

Great tunes

It blocks out the noise well so I can listen to my tunes while I work without having to crank it up too loud. I use it while I run my saws and nail guns at work and again when I mow my lawn.

headphones will not pair with my android phone

the headset's phones function works fine with my laptop, but it won't recognize my droid. I've spent may hours troubleshooting with manuals and on tech support with consumer cellular and have determined that the problem is with the headset. The 3 month-old phone is running bluetooth v3, I'm told. The headset is about 2 years old and it worked fine with my old iphone. 3m: please help. I often work outdoors with machinery running and being able to listen to podcasts, my music, etc. is really important to me.
