These things are excellent

About 10 years ago I bought a pair of the analog Peltor worktunes - they finally bit the dust - big problem with them was tuning - couldn't see the stations - so I bought the digital LCD display model - WTD2600 - the reception was horrible - I sent them back. Just received these - outstanding - reception is better than the analog set - the voice assist is amazing. If you want noise protection coupled with AM / FM / Bluetooth - stop Procrastinating - buy these - you won't be sorry.
If you look at the other reviews people can't find the rechargeable lithium battery pack, did any one come up with the part number for it? Is it BAT1060?

Great-when it worked...

I bought this and used it a handful of times and loved them when they worked but after I replaced the first set of batteries they no longer worked. Very disappointing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Awesome for golf course!!

Love that these let me Bluetooth or just radio!! Had them for a year now..
One of the ear pads started coming apart from the seems, having a hard time finding replacements so i can wear them again!!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Three plus years and still going

I have been using this product for years now for lawn care (professionally). I have even made my own review about them for others to see. They are great for keeping out the unwanted noise but not so great that you can’t still hear some things (like screaming or other important things). These things have paid for themselves many times over and when they finally do stop working, for what ever the reason, I will buy another pair. I might look at the other models to see if my needs for options have changed, but I will be buying this brand again. No need to even look elsewhere. Would love to hear from 3M for a few questions though. Just in case anyone is listening :)

Work great for my daily purposes

I have these for over a month, upgraded from a basic set of hearing protection.I selected this particular set because they offer FM and streaming of audio and books over BT. I didn't see the point in answering the phone through them, if I need hearing protection who talks on the phone. Same for audible message alerts, I get over 60 an hr, it gets annoying.
These are comfortable on the head and the weight is not that much. They grip tight and do not move around.
The noise reduction in the skid steer, on the mover and with the trimmer is great. The volume is plenty loud with the radio, I have limited use with the BT, the hr I did use it it was acceptable volume. Not too loud like rocking headphones, but these are hearing protection.
Tuning the radio is a pain for me. I should spend more time setting them up. It was intuitive to tune in a radio so I just left it on 1 station. This brings in the biggest downfall of the unit (for me): Ocassionally I hit the tuning knob and change the station, it's pretty exposed, a tree branch will rub on it and change the station. Then it's a bit annoying to think about how to get my station back. Do I push the button, rotate it, clockwise or counter-clockwise. What station was I on... etc

Pros: good noise reduction, BT streams well, radio volume is good.
Cons: radio tuning dial is easy to distrub accidently.
Overall: A solid 4 rating and I would recommend them.

Potentially Great Product

I'm an air boat driver and some of the boats I work on are incredibly loud. With that being said, I gave this product 4 stars from a noise cancelling perspective. They did do a good job blocking a lot of the engine noise and that's the primary reason I bought them.
Unfortunately, if you drop the headphones once for a few seconds in the water (like what happened to me), then you can kiss the Bluetooth ability goodbye. I didn't take away a lot of stars on my overall rating because in the instruction pamphlet, it says "DO NOT SUBMERSE IN WATER", so it was a fair warning. The only reason I took away one star overall was because the volume was too low.
Potentially, if these were made waterproof and also allowed the user to raise the volume, than they would be amazing. Yet, right now as it stands, it deserves three stars for quality and four stars for value.

Earpads disinigrate

The thin, flexible, black plastic/rubber which covers the padding on the earmuff is not durable. It has shredded on both ears during what I'd consider normal use. I'm not seeing any replacement parts listed here, and without replacements, the headphones are useless.
