An upgrade on about everything!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is our third graco car seat for four children, the middle two having shared one. We bought this one because the previous one had expired.
We are in love! Graco has made some changes and all for the better! Where Graco has always had good safety standards, with this seat they kicked it up a notch. I did research with a friend of mine who is a car safety specialist and this is by far one of the safest seats on the market. I particularly liked the head rest that makes keeping my newborn's neck safe a breeze.
Base installation has never exactly been complicated: locate the hooks, scrape your hands while forcing the clamps into them, then tighten the belts until the base was secured-ish. This one is soooooo much better! I lifted the belt holder, threaded the seatbelt through the openings and pulled it tight, then lowered the holder. The base was installed. AND it was the tightest and most secure fit of all of them! Where my previous seats I never was able to get perfectly tight and always had maybe 1/4 inch give, this setup is the tightest and has absolutely no give.
Finally, looking forward, where in my old seats as my kids grew, I had to disassemble the belts, thread them through other holes and reassemble, this seat I simply move a lever up so simple.
This is an amazing a seat!!!

Love it, but....

My in-laws bought this car seat for us because it was the one I had picked out, now DS is 4 months and the strap adjustment "button" spring broke. It had always seemed hard to pull but I figured it was supposed to be that way so that you wouldn't accidentally tighten baby's straps to tight but now that it broke I'm thinking maybe not.
