I was really impressed by the Graco Nautilus. The SnugLock installation is so convenient. I honestly had the whole seat installed, rock solid, in less than a minute. The SnugLock secures the vehicle seatbelt or the LATCH straps in a plastic "door" behind the child's back, with no weird cracks or lumps that would make the child uncomfortable. It was also really easy to close; I didn't have to force it at all. We put all three kids in it, ages 2, 4 and 6. They were all comfortable and loved the cupholders. I love how adjustable it was to fit a small toddler, then become a full booster for a (really tall) 6 year old. It was easy to adjust the headrest, the harness, and the recline to make it fit each child, and fit the vehicle seat too. My favorite part was stowing the harness to convert the Nautilus into a booster. It's seriously brilliant. You simply unsnap part of the fabric and find all these secret compartments built in to the seat. Each opens to store part of the harness system... but the harness is all still safely intact!!! The harness completely disappears, no lumps or things to bother your child. But, if you need it again, you just open the "doors" and pull out the chest clip and bottom buckle, with the straps all ready to go. Fantastic! The Nautilus, both good and bad, is a large heavy seat. It feels safe. It installs like a dream. It fits all kinds of kids in all kinds of ways. But, it is big and heavy. It wouldn't be much fun to drag through an airport or use for carpool. Not only is it big, but the base is quite thick. The part that would be under your child's thighs is probably six inches thick (so they are sitting 6 inches higher than your vehicle seat). If you have a small backseat, or plan to use it in booster mode for an older child, or have other carseats near it, you might find the Nautilus is just too big. For example, when our oldest used it in booster mode, she still had plenty of room to raise the headrest for growth. However, in the third row of the minivan, the Nautilus was nearly hitting the ceiling. I wouldn't be able to raise the headrest as she grows without it hitting the car. We have used two other harness-to-boosters from other manufacturers, but the Nautilus was far better. I was really impressed by the quality and features, and the value for it's price can't be beat. I only wish they had upgraded the foam under the child... There really isn't much foam there, and a large child would probably be more comfortable with a thicker pad beneath them. And I wish they'd stowed the manual somewhere else! It's under the carseat entirely. To get to it, you'd have to un-install the carseat. :( Thanks to the weeSpring Parent Panel for providing me with this harness booster car seat.

My toddler asks to go for a drive now!

My son loves this seat - the day after we installed it, he woke up early asking to go for a drive. One of my favorite features is how easy it is to recline the seat back - this is really useful when going for a longer drive and knowing that my son would need a long nap - his head was perfectly supported and he was completely comfortable. The belt installation took some effort, but once I read the instructions carefully they made sense. I am looking forward to continuing to use this seat as my son grows older and needs to use it as a booster. I also appreciate how functional the seat is - the cover seems easy to remove if you need to clean it (something that was a struggle with our prior seat - it has never been the same after the cover was removed). Thanks to the weeSpring Parent Panel for providing me with this product!

SO EASY to install!

I don't have a car, so I have to install and uninstall seats all the time. This seat was SO EASY to install with the belt. I usually don't feel this comfortable with the belt install, but the easy Snuglock installation and solid base let me know the seat was secured. I couldn't move it an inch once in. My daughter also thought the premium fabric and cup holders made it fancy and "grown up" for her. Thank you weespring parent panel for letting me try this product!

Perfect Seat for my 4 year old

I am so happy that we tried out this seat! My son gets carsick often so having a cover that easily removable is a lifesaver! When we first got it, everything was really easy to adjust and both my husband and I were able to easily install into both of our vehicles.
My son was very comfortable in the seat and really likes having two cupholders. All the little details are great. Adjustments are easy to make and the little slots that hold the harness straps are handy.
So far, we have taken it out of my car every weekend and then installed in my husband‘s truck. So easy!
I’m so happy we were given the chance to try out this seat by the weeSpring Parent Panel.

Love the seat - great improvements!

I received this seat as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel, however, I owned an older model for my older child. When we took this out of the box, it was relatively easy to install. The improvements to the LATCH system made installing it for my younger child easy. I will say that it's still a heavy, somewhat cumbersome seat, however, I don't think its avoidable if you're looking for something the will take you from the beginning of forward facing through the end of needing a seat.
This seat also has improvements to the fabric. My older 4 year old used this new seat unexpectedly after some carsickness and said, "I love this seat! It's so cozy". The two cup holders and hiding place in the arm rests went to good use as well. It's nice to have these. We're still in harness mode for both kids, so we haven't seen the benefit of being able to remove the cup holders, but I can see the appeal of this feature. Also, the feature to hide the harness once we're done, will come in handy.
Back to the carsickness - the older model required me to uninstall the whole thing, get the cover off, wash, dry, and then take 20 minutes to reattach the cover, and THEN reinstall. I can see how not having to uninstall and reinstall will be a huge benefit for the cover in the future.
I have one small complait about the seat. The padding under the seat is attached, but only in the back. Everytime I slide my kid into the seat, the padding bunches up. It is super comfortable, but it's a little annoying in the summer - and maybe more so in winter.
Overall, I love the seat and glad we've chosen this for both our kids.

Perfect for my toddler!

We were lucky enough to be gifted this car seat from the weeSpring Parent Panel, right as our youngest was transitioning out of his rear-facing car seat. My husband always installs the car seats because he can get them more snug than I can, but he was very impressed at how easy it was to install! Quick and simple, and we didn't have to fight to get the back anchor in place. Our older child's car seat has a difficult back anchor, so this was a major bonus for us. Our son loves this chair! He can easily reach his cup in the cup holder (not the case in his previous car seat) and he sits nice and high so he's got a great view and he loves that. I appreciate how easy it was to adjust the straps to fit him. He's considerably smaller than most two year olds, but within the size for this car seat. We cinched it up nice and snug and he was good to go!
Honestly, I think my favorite feature is the easily removed cover. Last Christmas, he got a stomach bug and threw up spaghetti all over himself and his chair on the way home from dinner with my in-laws. It was disgusting and it was a HUGE fit to get the cover off his car seat, wash it, and then manage to get it back on. Two weeks ago, he caught another stomach bug, and again lost his dinner on the way home. Hot dogs and mac and cheese this time. It was gross, but SO MUCH EASIER to clean! You don't realize how much of a saving grace that is until you unexpectedly need it. Thank you, Graco. You made a miserable situation surprisingly less difficult.

So much better than previous seats we've had!

My 4 year old daughter LOVES this seat! Things we love about this Nautilus SnugLock DLX Booster: At first, the installation of the LATCH belt was a little confusing as it comes stored inside the seat and requires a couple extra steps of setup, but once you get that figure out, it's not something you have to do again unless using the storage compartment if traveling with the seat. The 5-point harness adjusts very nicely, creates a tight, secure fit and the shoulder pads are nice and plush! I haven't had to remove the car seat cover for washing yet, but the snaps make it look like it would be very easy to do. At first, I thought the 2 cup holders were unnecessary, but they really come in handy as one usually holds her water bottle and the other can hold crayons, small toys, etc. Overall installation/removal of the seat is very easy as well with the LATCH system.
I was given this product to try as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel.

Awesome carseat!

My 4 year old daughter was requesting to ride in my car instead of Dad's, and I couldn't figure out why until I realized it was because she loved her "big girl carseat". She loves that she sits a little higher and can see out the windows, plus she has 2 cup holders for her water bottle and little toys so they don't get lost! The harness and the headrest adjust together, with a simple easy-to-slide lever. I have used this carseat with her both in the 5-point harness setting (my preferred setting for now), but when I recently travelled out of state, I just packed and used the booster bottom. Let me say how nice it is to have the option to EASILY take off the back when needed. I haven't had to fully remove the cover, but I did have to remove/re-snap portions of the cover to take off/on the back, and it was super simple. I didn't even realize originally that the armrests come off with the back, but there are still the cupholders attached to the bottom, and they don't add much bulk...yay!
I have used other "easy install" carseats, but nothing beats the SnugLock belt installation. No more wrestling and sweating to lock in the seatbelt. It also keeps the carseat MUCH tighter than others I have used, and without the manual labor to tighten it. Thanks to the weeSpring Parent Panel for providing me this carseat!
