Slim and Plush - A Car Seat to Last!

The Graco Nautilus Snuglock LX/DLX Booster Seat is one to really consider when making a purchase for your child. There are a lot of great things going for this car seat. The first thing I can say is that the process of installing the seat was key with the manual instructions, as every car seat is made differently. With a little patience and adjusting, things started to come together pretty quickly and we were ready to go.
Because my son is still pretty active for a 6 year old, we are going to continue with the 5 point harness. I love the little pockets on either side to store the chest clip. My son is big enough to get I the car by himself and buckle up, and with this feature, he is more apt to getting the belts on securely without twisting. A time, and safety! saver!
Next up is the streamline fit. Car seats are notoriously bulky and with this one, my son has plenty of room to sit but guess what? We've found our middle seat again! I think honestly now that a normal sized adult can sit between the two car seats! This is a BIG win, Graco!
I love that I can adjust the height of the carseat, as my son is taller than average and I think the seat really fits him nicely. I am really excited that it will grow with him up to 120#, so to me, I think this type of booster is the way to go. I wish I knew about it when he was born and for his little brother!

Wonderful seat!

We love the Graco Nautilus SnuglockLX 3 in 1 Harness Booster! We are using the snuglock feature which was very simple, install was quick and easy. Adjusting the back height and harness stap height only takes seconds! I would highly recommend this seat to anyone searching for a forward facing seat. No complaints.

Thanks to the weeSpring Parent Panel for providing me with this harness booster car seat. Our 4.5 year old son loves this big boy seat! He was so excited when it arrived that he insisted on trying it out before it was even in the car. The seat was super easy to install, as was the harness. I haven't had the need to wash the seat cover yet but I love that it is machine washable. When I was looking at the seat before installation I did unsnap it partially and found the bottom snaps very difficult to snap again. I think if there was just the tiniest bit more wiggle room in the seat fabric it would have been a breeze to put back on. Our son is very comfortable in this seat and loves that it will some day be a high back booster like his big sister has. The cupholders have been most excellent toy holders when he's getting buckled. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this seat to friends and will likely purchase another when our littlest is ready for a new seat.

Very nice, easy-to-clean car seat

Right out of the box, I knew I was going to really like this car seat. I like the versatility of this seat and knowing that it will continue to fit my child from 22 pounds all the way up through the booster stage. It has a very sharp black and gray color scheme with lighter gray comfort padding inserts. The seat seems fairly narrow, and the two cupholders were an instant hit for my 2 ½ year-old. The car seat was essentially ready to install out of the box—all I had to do was lift the back part of the seat up to snap it into place and then snap the bottom seat pad down on to the frame (more on that below).
Because safety is so important to me when it comes to car seats, I really like the SnugLock feature this seat offers. It allows you to lace the LATCH belt system through it and then snap it in, ensuring a more secure installation of the car seat. It provides great peace of mind that I have installed the seat correctly. Lacing the LATCH belt through the forward-facing hole in the car seat is not all that intuitive, but there is a diagram in the manual to assist. I also like the little storage compartment in the back of the seat for the LATCH system, but it does take a bit of maneuvering to get the belt back in properly. Overall, it was fairly quick to install this car seat in the forward-facing position.
I have two favorite features of this car seat—first, the ease of cleaning. I have to admit that I was skeptical that it would be as easy as advertised to remove the pads to wash them. But it was! With our other car seat, I spent so much more time going through all the different steps to remove the padding, only to then hope that I could successfully put it all back together again. I even had to watch videos online! With this car seat, the seat pads essentially just snap on and off. Not having to struggle with a bunch of elastic ties and all that is fantastic. I also love that the armrests containing the cupholders can easily be detached for cleaning with just a pull of a tab. The holders fit all of my toddler’s cups and she loves having two available--one for snacks and another for her drink cup.
My other favorite feature is the fuss-free harness pockets. Amazing! They allow you to tuck the harness buckle pieces into each side of the car seat to get them out of the way when you are trying to put your child in, or take your child out of, the seat. I really wish we had something similar in our infant car seat.
Two other nice features to mention—the headrest adjusts easily and the shoulder straps adjust with it, meaning that you do not have to re-thread the shoulder straps through the back of the seat. The storage compartment for the harness is pretty nice too.
I have only had a few minor issues with this seat. Completing the initial step of snapping the bottom seat pad down into the frame before installing it seemed easy enough, but it was not. The angle of the snaps against the frame and the tension on the seat pad made this very difficult for me. It was easy to get one side snapped down, but my husband and I both struggled to snap the other side into place before we finally got it. Aside from that, although the bottom seat pad has nice cushioning, I do not love the way it is attached to the rest of the pad. It is not one big piece. Instead, there is a piece of thin fabric on the bottom and the cushion is attached to the top of that in a way that leaves a crevice or flap in the front. I feel like this “loose” bit of cushion will wear out over time, and perhaps the seam as well. Finally, although the car seat has four recline positions, I had a hard time delineating between them. The recline is very subtle and seems to be more one continuous arch rather than set recline points.
The only other downside I can see to this car seat is that, unlike an all-in-one, you must initially have at least one other car seat—infant or convertible—until your child meets the height and weight requirements for forward-facing seats. We used an infant car seat with our toddler and now use it with our infant, but our infant seat only accommodates children up to 30 inches tall. Our toddler is on the taller side and would have outgrown the infant seat before we were ready to put her in a forward-facing car seat, meaning that we would need a convertible car seat too. So, if you’re like us and want to use an infant car seat, but also keep your child rear-facing for a longer period of time, just know that you might have to also purchase a convertible car seat before you can move on to this car seat.
All in all, this car seat’s easy cleaning, safety features, and versatility make it a winner in my book. Thanks so much to the WeeSpring Parent Panel for providing me with this awesome car seat to test out!

Grows with your child

Super easy to install seat and the seat is not as heavy as other's. The snuglock system gives you piece of mind that belt is secured which is a nice feature. My child enjoyed this seat and the double cup holders one for a drink and one for a snack. My son also rarely sleeps in the car but has taken a few naps in the seat he tells me it's comfortable. I love the headrest area for when he's sleeping & the covers on the harness.
The adjustable harness and headrest are game changers my current seat didn't have this option and this for me is a life saver. I don't have to take the entire car seat out to adjust the harness!
I didn't have to take the seat cover off to wash it, but did play around with the seat and all the different modes before installing it. The no uninstall removable cover feature is awesome.
This seat will get a lot of years out of it as it will grow with your child. If you are in the market for a forward facing seat that will last until booster stage this is the one.

Second and Last Car Seat You Will Ever Buy

I thought having more components to this car seat that it would be bit of a headache to install but it was so very easy. Knowing there's an added level of safety with the SnugLock belt installation puts me at ease. It's very well made and comfortable. Amazing level of quality and you can tell a lot of thought went into the design. I love the reclining feature and the adjustable headrest. It made customizing the fit way more manageable. I love that my child will be able to use it for quite a while without having fit or adjustment issues due to the ability to manipulate and customize the fit. The ease of removing the cover to wash is a major win. I love that there are anchors on this as well -- it's just a safety peace of mind issue and with many car seat boosters not coming with anchors it was a feature I was happy to see. The harness pockets did not really work for me, but the removable arm rests are a wonderful feature. I love that I can best adjust the car seat to better suit and fit my child. I tried this also with my almost 2 year old who is on the larger size spectrum and the one thing I can commend is that she cannot unlock the harness liker her other car seat. The safety features and the customization options are numerous with the Nautilus SnugLock DLX Car Seat Harness Booster. The ability to transform from a car seat to a booster seat is painless and easy. The transition form supported back booster to backless booster is incredibly easy as well. I love that this car seat can grow with my children and still remain as comfortable in each stage. Thanks to the weeSpring Parent Panel for providing me with this harness booster car seat.

#1 CARSEAT!!

I was able to test this carseat as part of the WeeSpring parent panel. My child loves this seat. Its comfortable and doesn't make my child to hot. I am very pleased with the SnugLock belt. It makes more comfortable with the seat install and puts my mind more at ease. It is very eady and quick to adjust any and all parts to this seat. The car seat cover is easy to remove, wash, and replace. I definitely give this seat 5 stars for my family.

Awesome Carseat to Own!

Very nice car seat! It was easy to install especially for older cars with shoulder strap seatbelt. The snug lock behind the back cushion is very helpful to make the seat tight and stay in place. The adjustable height is great when you raise the harness and easy to adjust with so you don't have to do it manually with each harness. My son is 3 years old and loves this seat. It's nice and soft and easy to put his seatbelt on. The color of the carseat is very nice as well. Black with a little shine to the grey is very nice and sleek looking. The two cupholders don't stick out too much which is great because because it does not take up too much room in the back. Overall, great carseat!
