Baby girl loves her seat

We got this seat for our first baby born in July. As we waited in our room for her car seat check the time kept passing. My husband and I keep looking at each other knowing after 30 min ties of her sitting in her seat in this room it was only time before she would be over and start crying well after 45 minutes no crying and we were on our way home a 30 min the drive still she was happy as could be she is now 2 months old and loves her seat. The only thing I would like is if the straps could come off to be washed as she has bad reflux and the strap have been covered in spit up a few times. I spot clean it but would feel it could get a better clean in the washer!

No floating level indicator

We bought this car seat to replace our old expired infant car seat. This is for our 4th baby. Our first one we had was the SnugRide 35 which had the floating level indicator. None of my babies made it anywhere close to the 35lbs before their height topped them out so we bought the 30lb car seat instead. I wish I would have looked closer at it before I bought this seat bc of the floating level indicator. It is so much nicer to have the floating level indicator than trying to eyeball the level line on the base to be level with the ground. :( We bought the seat in a October 2016 and just started using it May 2017. Please be aware that this nice feature is not on this seat.

No Quick Release For Strap Adjustment

Purchased this for our 2nd child based on our happy use of Graco products with our first. We're very disappointed to learn that the only way to adjust the strap tightness is through cumbersome buckles in the back of the car seat (our previous Graco product had an easy to reach quick-release in the front). Very cumbersome, very unwanted. Would not buy this product again.

Poorly designed

There is no front tightening/loosening mechanism for the strap. These have to be done in the back, one strap at a time, and it is very difficult to do so (both tightening and loosening the straps). The straps have come loose on my child on several occasions of him being in the seat. Also, when I use the coordinating stroller, it snaps in nicely, however, if I want to take my child out of the car seat, I have to take the car seat out of the stroller.

Cheap quality for the price

The car seat functions well as far as I can tell and it fits in the stroller as advertised. It drizzled while we were on a walk with the stroller and the canopy discolored immediately. Again, it seems to work but now my new car seat and stroller look ragged after only 5 times out.

I bought this thinking it was just another ordinary seat. I was so wrong. This goes above and beyond what I was looking for. I didn't know it had a 3 point recline option ON THE BASE. It made my life so much easier and safer for baby. My last infant seat I had to put rolled up towels under it to get it to recline correctly. Not this one. It sits perfectly in my car now. So happy I bought this product. Thank you graco for being so awesome..

I received this for free in hopes of an honest review. All thoughts are my own and no other's.
This car seat is a dream come true for someone that has six children and one being a newborn. I have been through so many different types of car seats with all of my children and this is the first one that I have not had any types of regrets about. My favorite thing is that it has a base. The base makes it easy to change the car seat out to another car seat and easier to strap in and go. If the base is there, you just click the car seat into the base and it's ready to go. You can move it from auto to auto without hassles. You can use the seat as a carrier for all sorts of occasions.
The other things I love about this is that it does have tether straps on it. The seat cover is soft and padded, unlike most of them for newborns. The shade is not one that falls every time you barely touch it.
My son, 2 months old, loves this because he's reclined a little and not laid all the way back. Medically, this is the position that the doctors recommend us have him in due to his issues. We had another car seat and it wasn't the one that we needed him in. He had so many issues that he couldn't hold down his formula and it was the position that the seat had him in. This one, we've not had an issue with it. I love that it keeps his head in the right position as well. His breathing is not restricted.

Love this car seat!

I really like the extra padding insert and still use it for my 9 month old son because he's small for his age. The fabric covering is very easy to take off and wash. And I just realized last week the sunshade velcros to the back of the seat so you can move it to keep the sun out of baby's face. I had some issues installing the base in my car but I have a 2000 Mazda 626 which doesn't have the LATCH system. It took me a while to get the lap and shoulder belt tight enough so the base wouldn't move, but I don't see that as a fault of Graco or the design of the car seat, I just have an old car.
