Scary Motor

We were so excited to receive this swing as a gift for our baby. However, we are extremely displeased with this product. This swing has a mind of it's own and will climb speed until it decides to complete stop on its own and do it all over again. Don't waste your money or registry space on this swing. I wish I would have read the reviews before we did.

Great for the newborn stage, not after 3 months

We loved this swing when our daughter was first born. It does tend to speed up on its own, but we were always close by so we could turn it down, and my daughter tends to like it going fast anyway. This swing was great for awhile. Now my daughter is 3 months and if you do not buckle her in, she will slide out of the seat.The way the seat is made, it is very easy for babies to slide from the seat onto the floor. I also do not like how the seat doesnt "click" into the swing frame. It just sits on a cross piece. She is only 12 pounds and when we have it swing front to back, you can hear the seat lift off the frame and slam back down.... this makes me very uneasy so she is only allowed to swing from side to side now. It would have been better had the seat "clicked" in like most other Graco swings with removable seats. Overall I would say this is a great space saving swing and great for the first few months, but use with caution when your child gets older.

I love and hate it

We were gifted this swing for the baby shower, upon opening it I loved the smaller profile and features. Upon using however, the motor has a mind of its own between stopping for no reason to swinging super fast on the lowest setting and suddenly stopping again. We stuck with as I couldn’t return it. Now baby is 4months and the buckle system already seems to not fit right no matter how I adjust it. Really wish I could of exchanged it for a different model.

Swing is way too fast...dials speed up on their own and the slow speed won’t work whatsoever ever.....child gets swung too far to its side it unsafe!

Dangerous! Has a mind of it's own!

My son was born almost 2 months ago and I bought this swing 1 to 2 weeks before he was born. The first time I used it, it was great. Since then its been psychotic. You turn it on and have the swing set at the lowest setting and it just takes off at top speed. At first I thought the speed may have been turned up but it wasn't. It was still on the lowest setting. Since then when you turn on the swing mode it will only occasionally work properly, most of the time though it either goes super fast like its trying to launch the baby (good thing I always use the safety harness or it would've launched my son) or it slows down so much that it is barely moving and sometimes it stops all together. Then, regardless of how fast it's going or what it is doing, after a couple minutes it stops and the power light on the swing speed dial starts blinking. I've even had it start up again at random after it stops and is blinking. The motor makes loud sounds when it just takes of and clicking sounds when it acts like it doesn't want to move. I've read the instruction manual and did all the trouble shooting it says and nothing. Ive turned it off and bak on, unplugged it and plugged it back in, made sure nothing was hanging over and dragging or making it to heavy, checked that the seat and everything was attached properly. Whatever is going on with this swing is NOT user error. With as close as you have to watch the swing when it's in use to make sure it isnt putting your baby in danger, its pointless to use. Might as well just hold your baby instead because your still not going to get anything else done. As far as the seat goes, the harness straps are awkward - the buckle between the legs is to short and not adjustable which makes the other straps not fit right because of having to lengthen them to reach the buckle. With the rocker, you have to be right there to rock it. It doesn't rock with the movements of the baby like most other rockers and bouncers. However, the rocker is the only decent part of this product. After the first time it went haywire (which was only the 2nd time I used the thing, so it was still brand new) I thought it was just a wierd little freak thing that would only happen once or an accident or something and I'd give it a chance, but the problems have continued since then and have gotten worse. I pretty much only use the chair in rocker mode or when I have to set him down for a brief second with the swing mode off. That thing is dangerous and I dont recommend anyone use it unless they are standing over it monitoring it the entire time it is in use. I only keep it for the rocker. If I could afford to, I'd buy a new swing but different model. It makes me kinda sad though, I've always used graco products and never had a problem until now, and reading the other reviews today - it seems I'm not the only one. This product is unsafe and I do not recommend anyone buy it. Like I said the only part of mine I use now is the rocker. I'm looking into other models to hopefully replace it as soon as I can. Hopefully the retailer will still allow me to return it. If you're considering this product, dont waste your money and time, please look into some of the other graco swing/rocker models.

My newborn and I love this swing. It's gorgeous. It's versatile. And it works beautifully. It's wide though, so make sure you have a wide space for it, but I don't see that as a problem. It's sturdy and well made.

Sad it stopped working

We bought this swing less than 3 months ago and our son loved it. It was a saving grace only way he would get a good sleep at night. Well it’s less than 3 months old started making a horrible sound and now will not swing. It just stopped working :(
