A great multi-use swing/rocker combo!

I received the Graco Duet Swing and Portable Rocker from the amazing weeSpring Parent Panel and was so excited to try it out!
-Assembly: Was pretty easy and the instructions were straight-forward. I had difficulty putting in the 4 screws on the swing frame (instructions said to use a screwdriver, but there was no way I could tighten them)...I was stripping the screwdriver, so I had my husband use his power drill and they went in no problem. It was kind of hard to get the motor housing piece into the leg assembly...it was very stiff, so I had to put some "umph" into it.
-There needs to be a way to lengthen the crotch buckle. My little girl is in the 99th percentile for her length, but when she was strapped in, the buckle was so low that the ends would cut into her thighs. Either the crotch strap and buckle piece needs to be longer or it needs to be moved down on the seat, closer to her feet so it doesn't cut into the legs.
-The mobile needs some tweaking...the hex shape of the adjustments end up slipping with the weight of the mobile and it eventually falls forward when it hits a certain angle. It's not horrible but my girl figured out how to grab the mobile from the side and pull it off, so I was constantly snapping it back onto the frame.
-The one-hand recline is a great feature, but could be difficult to pull depending on the position (if she was in the swing, it was hard to adjust it because of the motor in the way), but I figured out it's best to lift up, release some tension, then pull on the lever and adjust the angle.

Overall, I really loved this product from Graco! I wish it had a music/nature sounds feature, but other than that, it was perfect! The motor is quiet, the pattern of the fabric is soft, gorgeous and easily washable. I loved the option to have a vibrating seat and to be able to pull the rocker off the swing so easily and take her anywhere in the house...that was a lifesaver, and something I can't do with my old stationary swing! The sturdy handles on the rocker allowed me to easily pull her off, rotate her to a front-to-back swinging motion, and to move her around into different rooms of the house. I also love the small footprint of the swing-it doesn't take up a lot of room and can easily fit into a corner. I would highly recommend this rocker and swing duet from Graco, because of it's versatility and ease of use. Being able to move her around so easily is priceless!

Great two-for-one product

I received this product as a gift from weeSpring Parent Panel to write an honest review of the Graco Duet Swing and Portable Rocker. I am using this product for my 5 month old daughter, about 17 pounds, 24.5 inches. She is almost too big for it, and I wish I had this earlier! She is staring to try to get out of things (which fear not, the straps hold her in just fine) and I think if it would have been used more when she was smaller. The assembly was a little hard to understand from the instructions, but with some common sense you'll be just fine.The swing works great, it swings side to side rather than forward and backward. I like that it has different speeds. The rocker on its own is also pretty nice. It can recline or sit upright a little. My daughter likes to look at the stars hanging above, they can also come forward for her to play with. The cloth is soft and comfortable. The only complaint I have is that the pieces connecting to the base seem a little loose so they have some wiggle room rather than fitting tight. I don't think it's as bulky as other swings, but I probably wouldn't travel with it often. Enjoy!

Great compact bouncer/swing!

I just had my second baby about 3 months ago and I thought I was totally prepared for our new addition. That was until I took down all the old gear from the attic. Our living room was completely filled! The swing, bouncer, pack n play and play mat took up nearly our entire room. The swing was the biggest culprit though. When i received the graco portable bouncer and swing from the weespring parent panel, I immediately donated the very large swing and the matching bouncer. The portable bouncer and swing is so compact and easy to use. We keep the swing in the living room and the bouncer goes wherever I go. If he is fussy I turn on the vibrations and he is instantly soothed and falls asleep. He is also starting to reach and attempt to grab the cute little stars and moons. I love how they are attached by Velcro so they come off and can be put back on easily. Overall my 2 favorite parts of this product are it’s 2 in 1 compact design and the handles on the bouncer that make it portable. I can not recommend this product enough. I just wish I had this with my first son!

Bang for your buck!

If you are looking for both a swing and a bouncer, this is a great option. It not only performs both functions but also takes up half the space those two separate products would consume in your house- and goodness knows you have enough baby items taking up room, if you're like us!
Our four month old enjoys this swing and the various speeds are nice for adjusting to her awake and napping times. In moments of fussiness, a swing can really help to calm her down as a quiet activity with a movement she finds relaxing. It is easy to put her in and out of the seat and she loves the bar that hangs down with the toys on it. I love that the toy bar moves up and down smoothly and without much strength which allows for moving the baby in and out easily, as well as for changing up how low or high the toys are hanging above her head. The seat is very soft and she looks so cozy sitting there. Why are all baby products so wonderfully soft and why aren't adult items made this way too?!? Haha! The muted colors are both calming and fit nicely into our home without screaming, "more colorful baby junk here!"
When moving the seat off of the swing to use as a bouncer, I found it difficult to almost impossible to do so with the baby in the device. Once baby is removed and placed elsewhere for a moment, it became much easier to transition the piece from swing to bouncer. Our little girl adores bouncers and this one was no different! She enjoyed the vibration sensation as an added bonus. The music was fun too but doesn't have the best quality and so we opt to listen to our own music on a stereo in the house usually. My husband did have some difficulty following the directions in putting this product together but was able to with some extra concentration and patience while decoding the instructions.
Overall, I would recommend this product as a fantastic alternative to getting both a bouncer and a swing. Save some space and some money while getting a quality product.

I bought this for my 2m old . She's above average in height . She barely fit in it . By 18lbs the swing would bend while she was on it . The speed would speed up more than I wanted it to . I would put it on the low setting and it would go fast . At 27in long she no longer fit in it . It doesnt have lullabies just a vibrator which has 2 setting but are similar . It was useful because I could take the chair out and have her with my anywhere around the house .

Needs fixing

This swing is loud, you can hear it clicking. When on the lowest setting it goes super fast then slows down on it own. It looks like it's going to flip. I'm kinda nervous putting my baby in it. Can't return to store.
