Phone is amazing if you baby it

i have no complaints when it comes to the performance of this phone or its features. lighting fast and everything you would hope it is.
the only problem. which i feel is a huge problem, is the lack of protection this phone has. it was released with no water resistance, no fall resistance, and no way to purchase an otterbox or any other case that could possibly keep it safe. the cover it is sold with is basically a thick sticker. i have no idea why you would release a sensitive phone that has no options for a protective case.
within 2 months of owning these, my husband had a shattered back screen, and my inside screen was toast from landing in water for a few seconds.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not excited that it isn't atleast water resistant. Also sometimes the screen calibration is off (on the larger screen.) Parts of the page would be missing but fully visible on the outside (smaller) screen. I also wish it had more accessories (different case options.)

I have had it for over a week now and I am happy to say that I am LOVING this phone. So much so that when i pick up my old phone I am annoyed at how small the screen is. I still keep my old one around for use in wet places like the shower or in the rain but once Samsung is able to give this phone water and dust resistance there is no way I'll ever go back! 11/10 recommend

Don't pay attention to the negative reviews. The Samsung Fold is simply the best smartphone ever with dual screens, super fast performance, and outstanding connectivity. Can't imagine going back to a traditional slab phone after the ability to open the Fold to a widescreen. Ear buds are excellent too and easy to charge/use.

I am so impressed by everything about this phone and included accessories. The innovative fold screen is fantastic and seamlessly transitions from folded to full screen. The device feels super robust and especially when closed, as hardy as a clamshell. I am so happy with the included earbuds! - comfortable, discreet, great sound and performance. I would not have purchased them separately, so i really appreciate that they were included in the package along with a very handsome "carbon fiber" protective case. Now I'm hooked and use them constantly. Folded, the phone fits perfectly in my small back pockets. Open, it fits great in one hand for late nite movie watching / reading. The three camera lens are awesome! I had fun at the beach taking beautiful landscapes of the ocean and portraits of my dog. I upgraded from the S8+ because I lost it after 4yrs of perfect performance. I would not have upgraded if I had not been forced to replace it, however I have not looked back since opening the FOLD box. Although pricy, this phone is truly amazing cutting edge technology and worth every penny! Currently my Fold is my most prized posession! I never write reviews but had to say BRAVO Samsung, you ROCK!

Treat it with Respect

This phone is not for everyone. If you plan to take use it while exercising, taking a shower, or in some other ill-fitted manner, save your hard earned money because you want just a phone. However, if you plan to treat the Fold as piece of electronic equipment that will enhance your smartphone experience, then this is something you may want to consider. I've had no problems thus far. The phone feels sturdy on the outside. On the inside, the screen "fold" as critics call it is hardly noticeable when you are looking directly at the screen. I've seen complaints about the Fold from critics on YouTube that included damaging the screen using just fingernails. I've been using smartphones for over 30 years and I don't recall wanting to dig my fingernails into a phone screen. Like any major purchase, you research before you buy. I did, I purchased, and I'm totally satisfied with the product thus far.
