Perfect phone for me

The weight and size work well for me. I have had the phone for 6 days and have no issues or concerns. I should note that I also have a Galaxy S10+ and prefer the Fold because of how it feels in my hand. The small screen on the front is great for reviewing texts, emails and notifications. The interior screen is clear and perfect for multitasking or watching video (I am not a gamer). All cameras are useful. The sound is great for a personal device. Negatives: Price and missing headphone jack.

Good and Bad for me

I was very excited to get this phone. After receiving it I quickly learned that it wasn't for me. The primary / front screen is far too small for me to rely on day to day. Aside from taking calls the front screen isn't useful for any type of messaging or apps. The phone must be opened to reasonably run apps. That's far to cumbersome for me, so I returned it. Make no mistake though, the screen once opened is super impressive, it just isnt for me.

When folded, it's the perfect size for your pocket. When open, it's the perfect size for both business and gaming. The Samsung Galaxy Fold can handle any app or challenge you put in its path.

I really enjoy the Samsung Galaxy Fold. Love that I can open it up and have a better viewing area to enjoy. The fold is there however You do not notice it unless You look at the screen at an angle.

I've moved to fold from iphone x. Just wanted something new. Not just more cameras or more pixels, gigabites, inches, but something real new. Fold is a real new.
Comparing to iphone, fold has some significant disadvantages: android looks much less friendly operating system than ios. I couldn't change the interface language – it remains half-English (ios is more docile in this case). Some services that supposed to be real time are delayed (email) or are not updating automatically (weather). There is number of ios applications I wasn't able to find in google play. And yes, android drains your battery more actively.
Another part of the issues is related to the fact that android is not still polished to support multiscreen devices. There are 2 different desktops that you have to configurate separately, though you cannot put a shortcut on one desktop, if you have it already on the other. Besides many applications do not support dynamic resizing that makes difficult or impossible using them continuously (from one display to another) or in multi-task mode. The additional display does not support landscape mode. Etc., etc.
From the hardware prospective 2 huge disadvantages are: there's no microsd slot, and there's no 3.5 mm audio jack. There are 2 main reasons, why the manufactures remove audio jack from their devices: waterproofing and slim design. Fold is neither waterproof nor too slim. I do not see any reason, why it lacks a 3.5 mm audio connector. And it's annoying a lot. Some applications display big red warnings like "Bluetooth headphones potentially create significant latency. Please use wired headphones." I agree! But how?
On the other hand, fold is a really interesting device. When it's closed, it's very comfortable to make a call – it feels sturdy like an old-fashioned handset. When you open it, it becomes an easy reading tablet you can hold in one hand though. I absolutely don't mind this tiny gutter in the middle. It's not seen, and just adds some piquant tactile taste to your user experience.
And yes, fold creates this "wow"-effect to the people around you that started to be forgotten last time.
ps. Samsung buds are not bad, however comparing to bose soundsport they lack bass.

The hype is real

I have been a early adopter of new phones. I had the first note when it came out. I wasn't sure if I was going to get the fold. I seen all the videos and reviews on it. I can tell you for me i am sure glad i bought it. I really love this phone. I know it's not water proof or dust proof. I don't care about any of that. I don't plan to go swimming with my phone nor have i ever with any phone. I work in a office and I'm not to worried about dust. The phone works great and I don't regret my purchase one bit. If your really hard on a phone and careless this is not going to be the phone for you. I always rock all my phones with no case or screen protector. So for me having to be careful with this phone was a non issue. As far as the specs it is as advertised. I love the versatility and use the phone closed for a lot of situations and it is really good a texting which surprised me since it was small. It fits in my pocket better than my previous Note 8 and way easier to hold when closed and the speakers are super loud when on the phone and speaker phone. If you got the money go for it.

So much better than I expected

I watched a few videos that demonstrated how fragile the Fold is but couldn't resist owning a foldable phone like this. After owning it for several days, I am seriously impressed at how solid it is. Not just the physical structure but the smooth flowing OS that works seamlessly between folded and unfolded states. The biggest concern I had heard about was the fragile nature of the inside screen, but I haven't had any complaints or problems. In fact it makes sense that a foldable screen would not be as durable as a glass screen. I keep it folded closed most of the time and can do most of what I need on the smaller screen. When I do open it, the screen is beautiful and responsive. I would actually describe the Fold more as a tablet that folds in half. So far I haven't found any bugs or glitches and all my favorite apps are working as expected. As a bonus, the Fold is a big conversation piece and always gets a lot of attention. I know better versions will come along, but I am perfectly satisfied with this version. Highly recommended.

I bought this phone for my wife for Christmas and she absolutely loves it. The phone is fast and both screen quality are amazing. The Atmos stereo speakers sound great and are very loud for a phone. The folding aspects of this phone are definitely an attention getter... Everyone wants to see the phone that folds in half!
