Disappointed

I was unable to purchase a better model in the area where I live, and I needed it almost immediately, so I settled on this one. The set up was OK, it hooked up to all 20 of my cameras, TVs, lights etc, after I changed the name and password to my previous Netgear 8000. I have experienced some buffering, and a bit more time getting to websites. My Internet is completely wireless, over the air to an antenna on top of my house. It is not satellite. My reception is perfect, and I’m just a little bit disappointed that this router is not quite as strong as the other, and the price was very similar. I guess I just expected more. I will probably buy that brand again, maybe going for a different style in the future

Router speed

Even though the R7000P was a little more expensive, I am very satisfied with the speed of the wired ports. The wireless 2.4 and 5.0 speed are great, only if you are within 25 feet of the router. All in all, am very satisfied with the unit. The app is a nice feature as well.

This router allows you to set up your VPN service at which point any device connected will be routed through the VPN’s servers. Incredible feature to compliment this fast router!

Can be use as a router, extender (wired or internet wireless, is omnidirectional so you get a 360 range instead of one direction.

Effective Product

As long as it works, it’s great! This is a replacement for my first one. After only two years, I had to replace it. Hope this one lasts longer because it seems to be very reliable. Pleased with the performance.
