A nice upgrade from my AirPort Extreme. A note of caution - new firmware dropped Time Machine support. A really terrible decision - plus they still advertise that the router still supports Time Machine. They either need to update the product page or re-add Time Machine support back in the next firmware update. Not very happy because I wanted Time Machine support when I bought a new router.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Worse router I have ever had. I installed this 3 days ago and it has been problematic every since. First the connections drop constantly and originally I thought it was because of this Smart Connect (which tries to determine which band is best for your device), but nope, still happened when i turned the feature off. Most of my devices are IoT devices and at peak times we may have 2 gaming consoles going and 2 TVs streaming while the other devices are IoT (Ring, smart clock, Nest and etc.). I have been on a tech for 3 hours over the last few days and they all keep saying to check with my ISP. Well, my old router still works just fine and has 0 connections issues and it was 8 years old. This piece of trash drops connection and during a speedtest only had 10 Mbps down and 17 up, and I pay for 1000 Mbps through Fiber. I would return it but i am outside buyer's remorse as I bought this as a precaution in case my wifi ever gave out.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great till you test your speeds

Set up took some time. But worked really well if you turned off your cellular data on your phone. Worked great, till you test the Internet speeds. This router didn’t utilize the Internet speed that I was paying for. It reduced it by almost half. Returned for a different router.

This router allows you to set up your VPN service at which point any device connected will be routed through the VPN’s servers. Incredible feature to compliment this fast router!

Every Firmware Causes Dropped signals

Every time there is a a firmware upgrade it cause the signal to drop. You have you go back and install a stable firmware from about 4 years ago.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Seems to be a great product so far. I LOVE the inclusion of indicator lights and real switches on the front of the device. Our old ASUS router had a power on LED and nothing else. Not even a power switch. However they should really include an informative / KB type CD in the box. Seriously folks, they cost almost nothing to manufacture. The only thing in the box was a hard card that says to load the IOS/Android application. Not sufficient in my eyes and don't tell me that everything is on line. Remember that this deviced GETS YOU ON LINE, right?

the worst experience ever had before all the time wifi expires, all the time need to restart and the router, and some time for the half-hour it is not working.
