Am not technology smart, this was easy to setup all devices recognized the router and was simple to connect to. Having faster speeds for devices that I use to stream with has meant no or very little buffering while several devices are streaming.
I can't get into the technical details of our issue, but hoping this review may save someone money.
We bought our Nighthawk router in ~May of 2020 after a few months of struggling with our wifi when we both started working from home. While it was an improvement over our Apple Airport (yeah, it was old), we've still had spottiness with our wifi and significantly lower speeds than when hard-wired. We even tried changing our internet provider and started paying for increased speeds to see if that was the issue, but we're now convinced it's the router.
Less than 2 years later, my partner is currently out purchasing a different router. Given the price tag, we were completely underwhelmed with it's performance and frustrated at having to replace it in such a short time period. We are not interested in purchasing another Netgear product after this experience.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Worked great for a day, but hadn’t fully moved all of our devices from our old router and day 2 the internet was totally unstable. Not sure if it’s interference, but could not make it work. Going to try again when I have time to move everything at once and see how it goes. Definitely not a simple out of the box solution.

This was exactly what we needed to help with multiple internet connected devices. Easy to set up, easy to connect and a marked difference in our wifi speeds. Simple to make it work and the app made it much easier to set up.
Wizard made it a breeze to setup. WiFi has many options and range was great. No dropped signals. Had everything up and running in 15 minutes with the Netgear Nighthawk App.
