Router speed

Even though the R7000P was a little more expensive, I am very satisfied with the speed of the wired ports. The wireless 2.4 and 5.0 speed are great, only if you are within 25 feet of the router. All in all, am very satisfied with the unit. The app is a nice feature as well.

Disappointed

I was unable to purchase a better model in the area where I live, and I needed it almost immediately, so I settled on this one. The set up was OK, it hooked up to all 20 of my cameras, TVs, lights etc, after I changed the name and password to my previous Netgear 8000. I have experienced some buffering, and a bit more time getting to websites. My Internet is completely wireless, over the air to an antenna on top of my house. It is not satellite. My reception is perfect, and I’m just a little bit disappointed that this router is not quite as strong as the other, and the price was very similar. I guess I just expected more. I will probably buy that brand again, maybe going for a different style in the future

Fast installation, fast connection

Fast to setup, fast to begin surfing. My son was gaming in no time, meanwhile my wife was able to stream her show. Doesn’t seem like walls and others with WiFi interfered with signal strength. Nighthawk made sure I got the internet speeds I’m paying for while those before it kept dropping and wouldn’t come close to the speeds I’ve subscribed to.

This is a great product. Our internet is so much faster than before. It has really made a difference when kids are gaming and I am streaming movies. Worth the money I paid for it.

No 5G

The router works fine if all you want is a 2.4G connection speed. The 5G doesn’t work.
