Replaces Old Netgear Router

Just hooked this up last week. Immediately my speeds exploded! What I liked best was how I was able to use the App on my iPhone to easily get the router hooked up and working. It walked me through step by step. And I was able to keep my original network name and password! This meant not having to re-do all my devices and TVs. So far all good with no problems!

Fast and easy setup

I bought this so I could complete my in home network, which includes a Cisco Switch, Modem, and NAS. I wanted to alleviate some of the pressure off of my modem and to have a dedicated Wireless Access Point, so I grabbed this out of one of the bins of a local PC parts store. I am pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to setup and configure and speeds are just as fast on the wireless broadcast as they are on my wired LAN. Great little device. It worked out perfectly for me!

Outstanding product

This was my father in laws. He passed away and I was frustrated try to get in and change password so my mother in law could use it. I accessed it from the website and was able to create a new password and set it up as if it brand new. Now everything is fast and secure. Thank you NETGEAR.

R7000 AC2300 Review

Either I set my expectations way too high or the Netgear R7000 AC2300 router is just not that much different of a router as far as performance wise than the Netgear WNDR3400v3 which is my previous router. I was expecting a really big boost in performance, Wi-Fi coverage and data speeds but what i got as far as the Wi-Fi coverage was nearly the same, the speeds are the same and performance I don't notice a difference at all. So I'm sorry to say that my WNDR3400v3 is not that much inferior of a router if at all than there R7000 AC2300. But that's not to say that the R7000 AC2300 nighthawk is a bad router. Im merely saying that both the Netgear WNDR3400v3 and the Netgear R7000 Nighthawk are both great routers. I dont regret purchasing the R7000 nighthawk because what I ended up doing was using the Nighthawk as my main router and I setup the WNDR3400v3 as a wifi repeater, and that combination greatly increased my wifi range coverage in my house. So overall I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

The AC2300 has been my most worthwhile purchases in my 25 years on the planet! Like as a gamer i can truly say that I have no idea how i was playing games prior to this router being in my life. top notch speeds
