Best I've Ever Had

In my lifetime, I've owned or rented my share of modem-router combos. The idea of having a router that was a separate unit made me nervous. But, the requirements of my current cable company pushed me to try it since I became disenchanted with their equipment.
To my amazement, installation and setup of my Netgear Nighthawk AC2300 was almost plug and play! Coupled with the Netgear app, it was easy as pie! Also, with the equipment my cable company provided, I used to lose internet access every couple of hours. Since I purchased my Netgear Nighthawk AC2300, I have not had this problem. Plus, my download and upload speeds are consistently faster!

The new router I didn't need...

Long story short... my Centurylink service changed without any notice, and I thought it was my old Netgear products failing. So, I purchased this new router at Sam's Club after being told it could run all of my wireless products with no lag. I live in a 2 story home, with the router upstairs and my whole life downstairs. I've been very pleased with it so far. The only product I had that the signal wasn't strong enough for, was my printer. I purchased an extender and now life is outstanding!!! If you're looking for a really good router, this is definitely the one to get. Super easy set up, great signal strength, no lag when running more than one thing at a time.

Great router for a big apartment complex

I recently moved from a small apartment building in a residential area to a large apartment complex and my old router couldn't break through all the wifi noise from my neighbors' routers. I was getting 70 mbps through an ethernet connection, but only 3 mbps over wifi. I upgraded to the Nighthawk to get the 5ghz channel and the automatic channel-switching, and it's like night and day. Now I have the same speeds over wired and wireless connections. The setup was pretty straightforward. It took me a couple tries to get the automated setup wizard to work through all it's steps, but maybe 20 minutes later and after a classic turn-it-off-then-on-again system reset I was ready to go.

Strong and lightning fast WiFi

We purchased this router for the speed, channel bonding, and the mu-mimo feature. Our neighbors WiFi was interfering so I expected to see maybe 150-200 mbps over WiFi with our existing modem but was surprised and happy to be getting speeds over 350 mbps with a strong signal throughout the house. The mobile app is also great, allowing remote access to the router from anywhere. I'm looking forward to setting up a personal cloud to sync photos on the go also. For the price I feel like I got more than what I paid for. No more buffering from running too many devices. Having 10+ devices with half connected and streaming at any given time that always seemed like a problem, not any more.

Superior connection and range

I love this new Netgear AC2300 router! It boost the 5g signal throughout my whole house and the 2.4g signal across almost my whole yard! This router fixed all my speed and connection problems we had with the Apple TVs, IPads, and cell phones we use in our house. I would highly recommend this router to anyone. It was the easiest router I have ever setup. The app makes it easy to monitor the internet usage across all devices. I like the slick, professional design look of the router itself. I love Netgear products and have always had great experiences with all the products I've purchased over the years. I would recommend this router to anyone that uses multiple WiFi devices in their home.

Easy set up

I am someone who loves working on computers and learning new programs, but am challenged when it comes to how all the hardware is connected and set up. I needed a new router and was dreading getting everything connected throughout the house. This router was recommended by a friend. The salesman assured me that the set up was super easy and user friendly. He was right! I downloaded the app which goes through simple step by step instructions. The router was installed and all my home devices connected in less than 30 minutes. Everything works perfectly. Great speed and connectivity in a household of 4 with multiple devices requiring internet access. Thank you for making this so simple!

Replacement Router

I was using an old dual-band N600 router that was new out-of-the-box several years ago. Recently the old Netty was not doing so well and my WiFi speeds were rather slow, the connections were dropping and the Router itself was starting to feel hot to the touch.
After some research, I chose this new Nighthawk router and my entire home WiFi has benefited from it! Speed went from 70.9 up to 149 download speed. In addition, there's no need for 2 broadcasted SSIDs for 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz. It can all be combined into one SSID to let the router and the device decide which would work best.
Lastly, I kept the same SSID and password so all the previous devices would automatically connect. Everything runs great!

Excellent router for streaming family

My family and I purchased this router about two weeks ago. Previously we have had very lukewarm encounters with various routers. When our spectrum provided router but the dust I decided to go for quality and purchase this router. My family have cut the cable about a year ago and good internet and good routers have become imparitive. Ever since we've hooked this up we've had nothing but excellent speeds. We have three apple TVs and a firestick and we can have them all streaming at once with hardly a problem. I also love the app, it gives me control with ease and the ability to see who's on our network and to see the potential threats that may come. I think we will be using this router for a long while!
