Worth it!

I've had an old NETGEAR router for the last 5 years that was slowly dying and I knew it was time to upgrade. I decided to go with the nighthawk AC2300 and I could not have made a better choice. Not only has my internet speed increased, but my online gaming experience has been severely changed. I have very minimal lag if any at all and with having multiple devices connected to this router I still see no delay or hiccups in my connection. If you're looking for a budget router that just does what you need it to do, plus more... I would definitely choose the Nighthawk AC2300, you will not regret it.

I'm giving this router 5 star review because of the price, and quality relative to my last router - AC1000. Currently living with 4 other roommates while in college, and we are all heavy gamers, streamers, torrenters, etc... The Nighthawk AC2300 is easily keeping up even with our computers connected and all of our phones. Not only that the Netgear Genie app allows me to diagnosis problems, reboot the router, and if someone forgets to do the dishes cut the internet off for them. Whoops :P. Overall well worth the price for anyone upgrading from an older product especially with all the features included.

Amazing so far!

Loving this router, I was having so many problems with my modem router combo. My wifi seemed to never have been amazing, and continued to get worst to the point where I couldn't use the internet without hardwiring or just using my cellular data. I replaced it with this router and a new modem and its was like the sky opened up and shown like and the angels began singing! lol, seriously though it is amazing and works fast! I have my computers, tv, children tablets, and cell phones linked to it with no lag. The speeds are amazing! Finally getting use out of the internet speeds I am paying comcast for!

Easy Setup, Great range, password worry

I live in an older home with four floors, and the range extends well to the entire home (placed the router on the 2nd floor) as well as the patio area. I especially like that it assigns the band wave (2.4 or 5ghz) based on location.
Setup was very easy with the app, and nicely let's me monitor the network.
One complaint is that when you login to the router page from your browser, the password is displayed to you. I would think that good password security means that the company should hash the passwords and never be able to display them. Potentially this could be a security risk, but I'm no expert.

R7000P worth every penny

My dad turned me on to the Nighthawk series and I am glad he did (so far). I use to have an equivalent Linksys router but always had issues with the firmware and it never really allowed me to use all of the 100 Mbps I was paying for. Whenever I ran a speed test of any sort I would get 30-40 Mbps. That's not bad if that is what I was paying to get. I installed the Nighthawk (which was extremely easy to do) and have been running Speedtest periodically and I have been getting speeds right at 100 or even slightly higher. That's a win. It's been a month or so since installing it but so far it's been great.

Solid Router

I've used NETGEAR routers for a while. My last NETGEAR, before I purchased this one, I had for over 6 years and there was not a thing wrong with it, the internet and my requirements simply outgrew the device. This router is solid enough to keep up with the demand of 15+ streaming decives placed on the appropriate band. The best feature for me is the use of the nighthawk app that lets me control the devices at will and provide some parental controls and oversight on what my kids are doing and watching, or I can just cut them off when they get the thousand yard stare. Extremely pleased with this router, must buy!

Nighthawk awesomness

I did some reasearch online for the best WiFi router after doubling my square footage, moving into a 2 bedroom apartment, and landed on the Nighthawk AC2300. After I moving to the new place, my existing WiFi router seemed to have coverage issues, especially in adjacent rooms due to additional walls and doors compared to my last place. The Nighthawk blasts the WiFi signal into all rooms, even through bathroom walls with tile. The connectivity and speed is awesome. My new place is 1100 sq ft and I highly recommend this WiFi router for multiple devices, speed, ease of set up and connectivity, and strength of signal.

Great app support - great coverage

The NETGEAR Nighthawk AC2300 not only has great overall coverage, but it is so easy to connect to right out the box. The Nighthawk app is very simple to follow.
The router is very stylish and easy to view from a distance, which ports are in use ( I do wish there was a feature to somehow stealth the status lights as they are bright and can distract away from viewing the TV. Of course that's if you have it staged in a media cabinet)
I usually don't give any feedback unless it's negative, but this router so far is the best I've ever had in terms of overall satisfaction.
