We chose this router as an upgrade from the basic one the cable company gave us. Our son plays video games and we watch a lot of streaming videos on our Firestick. With the old router we had A LOT of lag and nothing worked right. With this router we can stream videos and our son can play his games with no problems. With the app for the phone I can disable internet to certain devices whenever I need to. I would recommend this router to anyone with a busy household with more than a couple devices that use wi-if.

Best in class router

I been using netgear routers for more than 5 years, I love this brand. Nighthawk R7000P has very good wifi coverage and reliable router for best performance. For my 1200sq ft home this router is adequate.

Quick, Fast, and Easy

This router is a breeze to set up. I initially used only the Nighthawk app to set it up and get it going with security and hiding the SSID. Speed is great even when using 6 devices to stream different video from the cable modem.
