The nighthawk is a beast. Recommended by wirecutter (originally the sweet home), it definitely lives up to expectations. Very powerful reaching a block away from my home. Strong and consistent signal. Cool gadgets like bandwidth measuring, smart selection of long vs short range bandwidth, guest line with guest password, and content controls. I couldn't be happier. Definitely worth the extra money.

Great with Great WiFi and ISP's

Suggest making sure your computer is in great standing. THEN, make sure you get a great ISP. and THEN..Then i suggest getting this with a great Modem as well. I suggest Intel computers with this type of set up. Faster system you will ever see. Guaranteed Suggestions.

Best Router for Gaming

I bought this as a secondary router since we have a couple gamers and lots of wireless electronics. This secondary bridge to our normal WiFi is the bomb

Fast and smooth

My previous router was about 6 years old and I thought it was time for a new one. 6 years ago people only had a few things to hook up, but with today's smart home plugs, lights and cameras I wanted something modern. So far so good

Disabled my ISP's wireless router and installed a nighthawk and what a difference. If you're in the market this is the router for you.

The tops for routers

I'm on Verizon fios 100/100 for my home, and I had been using a Verizon supplied router. I upgraded to this model over the holidays and the difference is night and day! Up and down speeds have increased at least 5x, and I haven't experienced a single disconnect, compared to the Verizon router which I had to restart 1-2 times a month. My house is much better covered by WiFi, and all of my connected devices are on with no congestion. The netgear app is also a very nice management suite, and I can find all the advanced options with a few taps on my smartphone. I've been completely satisfied and blown away by this router, what a quality of life improvement!
