Slower than I expected. I've heard great things about netgear, so i made the switch grom Asus after some recent issues. It seems like this new router is heavily cutting down my connection speeds, though. Maybe i got a defective unit? Or maybe it's being dialed back as planned obsolescence. It looks like earlier firmware versions are faster. I'd like to try the newest wifi router options, but they're a bit too pricey for me right now. (Single dad, recent cybersec graduate)

Set up with the app was a little finicky at first but overall pretty painless. Wireless settings might need some reconfiguration because there seem to be some speed issues. Able to handle multiple devices smoothly and good signal from most areas of the house.
My new Netgear Nighthawk router has made a noticeable difference in my internet reception. Easy to set up and reliable. I also appreciate the added security.
Replaced a much older Netgear router and really boosted the speed and range. Unfortunately with the most current and possibly last firmware update, it randomly drops the 5Ghz band followed shortly thereafter by the 2.4Ghz band. Systems reconnect wirelessly within a minute or so usually but not always. 5Ghz band will sometimes disappear 1 hours and then come back. Netgear forum has discussions on this and most suggest rolling back to a much older firmware version which fixes the wireless band drops at the cost of security. It needs to be noted that when the wireless drops, all the wired connections stay connected and online
