I bought this router brand new from a retail store. I spent hours trying to set it up. The app wasn’t helpful. The firmware on the router wasn’t up to date. After two lengthy phone calls with tech support, it still doesn’t work. I feel a new unit shouldn’t require 3 separate calls with tech support and cause so many issues. I will be returning.

For the R6400, the firmware was updated as recent as 7-28-21 here at the following link: https://kb.netgear.com/000063853/R6400-Firmware-Version-1-0-1-74.

We were having intermittent internet. Was told to get a new router and modem. Did some research and read reviews and saw this one came highly rated. Had a little trouble getting it to connect to the net but once it connected it has been absolutely awesome. No more spotty internet, no more freezing. I highly recommend.

Product woks great as described and easy to set up with my cable company. The only downside was, there was no instructions that said I needed to register the product before it would work. Had to call customer service to find that out.
