Intermittent Connection and Warranty Not Fulfilled

I have reached out over 3 times for support because of an intermittent WiFi connection. I did all the recommended steps each time, from talking to my ISP (and confirming it was not the Internet service), to moving the unit to a different location, to factory resets, and reading all the support documents I was directed to. Finally, I came to the conclusion that this unit must be defective. The response I received when trying to get it replaced under the one year warranty was that I need to have the unit diagnosed. But, it turns out the only way to have it diagnosed is to pay for additional technical support. And, the worst part is despite the multiple calls I made in the past they claim I was never put through the full technical diagnostic support. I am very disappointed in this product and the related service. The irony is, if my unit was replaced under the warranty as expected, I would likely be writing a great review.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Slow speeds

As with the review from Anonymous from 5 days ago, I am experiencing a slowdown of internet speeds. Hooked directly to computer, I get downloads of 230+, through the modem they drop to 150 or less. I have checked every setting I can think of, but nothing has changed. Any advice would be appreciated.

Unreliable

Within two weeks of purchasing this modem router the 2.4ghz portion of the network quit working. I tried multiple options to fix it including factory resets and completely redoing my network setup. Of course it was past the time when I could return it to where I purchased, so I registered it with Netgear and began the process of creating a support ticket. The beginning went ok with most of the support being things that I had already done, but I tried them again just to be sure. Once we got to the place where it looked like they were going to have to take the device back because it was actually broken, all support communication stopped. I have messaged multiple times given more than the promised 24-48 hour windows for them to respond, but nothing. I ended up having to completely shut off the wireless router portion of this device, purchase a different wireless router and use this device as simply a modem -- a very expensive modem. I would not recommend this router because it is unreliable nor would I recommend Netgear support. They seem to be unreliable as well.

not for multidevices

i am having to reset my rounter 2 times a day, wi-fi keeps dropping. not suited to connect for more than 5 wifi devices connected.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Just Works!

I bought this a couple years ago - if I remember correctly. It's been a while, anyway, this product has been working very well for our family. We are heavy users with lots of bandwidth needs and this delivers! Don't use it with a splitter though, even though it still will work, it needs a direct connect from the cable source and it'll be rock solid.
I would recommend this to a friend!

weak security

I got this modem router combo 1 years - 3 months and after 1years - 3 months is having this combo now has weak security problems because it only haves wps2 not wps3 which is new and secured. I am really disappointed. and I am also having drop WIFI signal problem where the Wi-Fi gets stopped and it does not work for 5-10 mins (i have talk to my cable provider Xfinity and they said everything is working very nice from out end). if this happened 3 months before I would have replace it under the warranty, I am really disappointed to be honest.

AC1750 extender review

It connects to modem well, but it keeps having internet fails. All devices would loose internet connection. And no it’s not our modem, it has been tested properly. May return product.
