The router was not compatible with the cable/modem from Xfinity in that the signal out from Xfinity was 800mbs and the signal out from the attached router was less than 50mbs. I called Netgear customer support and although they tried hard, they could not explain the difference and had no suggestions as to what to do next.

The router was fairly simple to install, I am however not liking the fact that nighthalk security installs without an option not to install, if there was that option I missed it,

For a good value, this router/modem combo was a great buy as we switched service providers. This router works with most providers and the set-up/install was simple. The Nighthawk App lets me measure and monitor my wifi network easily. For a router that offers high speeds at a reasonable price, this is a good choice.

It Works!

My extender works very well. I set it up at the bottom of the stairs leading into the basement. Before setting up the extended, my WiFi signal was weak. I couldn’t stream TV in the basement. Now I have an “excellent” signal.

I live in a two story town home and my wifi signal upstairs was low. With this wifi extender it fixed that problem
