receiving devices less than 20 feet away but almost always resets itself cant use notification because it keep alarming because of signal loss

My extender disconnects from my wifi and then does not recognize my password. I have to change my wifi password to reconnect. Works great until next time it happens

1800 sqf house. Have router in upstair room in corner of house. Have good connection through the whole house an front and back yard.
