My extender disconnects from my wifi and then does not recognize my password. I have to change my wifi password to reconnect. Works great until next time it happens

1800 sqf house. Have router in upstair room in corner of house. Have good connection through the whole house an front and back yard.

using the wifi extender really helps with connection quality but I still experience trouble with lag spikes and sometimes I have to turn off the extender to even connect to the wifi.
